TL/DR: Missing 12 paragon points that the game itself says I “should have” (after launch of Season 11), but they are nowhere to be found. Paragon points on my boards have been removed from certain nodes and I had to re-organize my points to obtain the same nodes that were previously obtained!
I logged into Diablo IV after season 10 ended to check out how my character worked on the eternal realm (season 10 was my first playthrough of Diablo IV, and I reached Torment IV, was relatively powerful and efficient at killing, and wanted to check out how things were different after the season). I had spent many hours collecting gear and farming and masterworking, I had completed ALL renown in ALL regions and also ALL altars of Lilith and had acquired ALL renown rewards, etc.) But after logging into my now eternal character, I noticed that my potion capacity was only 4 - strange, it was 10 during the season, that’s a HUGE survivability issue for the hard hitting bosses. So, I checked my renown and found that I still had ALL renown completion rewards, but NOW “potion capacity” has been removed from the rewards, and instead 2 paragon points were added PER REGION (there were 4 per region in season 10, and now there are SIX per region for a total of 36 paragon points from RENOWN) – wait that’s TWELVE paragon points EXTRA (2 x 6 regions)! GREAT! I should be able to fill up some more of my boards!
I checked it out, only to find that… the 12 paragon points? Not awarded to me. I don’t have them. On my paragon board screen it says I am paragon level 239 and that I have 263 points spent and 0 points remaining. ( 263 - 239 = 24 ). Maybe I am bad at math but 24 does not equal 36. The 12 extra points are missing.
Not only that… all my items have been nerfed making me considerably weaker, and upon investigating my paragon boards I found that the prerequisite for the secondary BONUS effect of about half of my rare nodes was not met (ALSO NERFED) – during season 10 I had ensured ALL of these bonuses were met! (Side note: ALSO, some of the nodes - including a legendary node) that I had invested in, were magically missing the point, I no longer had those nodes and had to re-organize my paragon points just to obtain the legendary node again, of course this would have been easier if I HAD the TWELVE points I am missing!!!)
So now my character has terrible gear, lacks 12 paragon points that are ACTUALLY SUPPOSED to be there, AND has missing requisites for half his rare paragon nodes – making me significantly weaker. I now struggle even in Torment II (I can’t even take on bosses).
As a long time Diablo player (Diablo II since 2003, Diablo III since 2012 or whenever it was first released, first on PC, then PS3, then PS4 AND PS5, and NOW Diablo IV), I am severely disappointed with all of this. The games were always about the grind, but you always kept your progress. Here, I spent 250 hours grinding and farming and building up and now feel like I lost HALF that progress!
At least rectify the paragon points, I earned the renown so I earned the points and the game says I should have them.
UPDATE (Dec 18 2025) - Potion capacity is 10 potions again. Paragon points still missing when renown progress says I should have 12 more than I do.
