NPC Kress located in Immurement of thorns has a missing dialogue. If you click it it will softlock your game where no commands work . I had to force shutdown. he is offering the Tangled Memories quest at my current progression.

Whilst this bug is still current, Upon clicking on the broken text option, does soft-lock, you can either restart game, or wait it out, after about a minute or 2, it will resume normal game play, bypassing the conversation that is meant to take place.

Just hit this bug today as well. I waited and the game did not resume as normal for me, had to force exit and the game repopulated me in the same spot thankfully.

Same here and the soft-lock also disappeared after awhile.

I can also confirm this bug as of today. I’m playing with the German translation, in case it’s relevant.
same bug, had to alt+f4 to exit the game since it wouldn’t even let me open the menu
Encountered the same thing. I terminated D4 after a minute or so, hadn’t seen that it can be waited out.
happened to me too, softlocks the game, had to ALT-F4 and restart game
Had this same issue yesterday as well 
We have a fixed for this in the next patch.

What about blighted corpse tendrils? I’d really like to play again.
Why is this the only official response to any bug in two weeks? This is not how to manage a community effectively.
For instance, we’ve had no response at all on the forums related to blighted corpse tendrils bug, yet someone pointed out that you responded on twitter of all places but not here? In the official bug report forum? Why is that?
I don’t have twitter. I never will. Why is there not at least the same, if not more, information available on the official bug report forum?

Softlock still occurring as of August 13 at about 10pm Pacific. To recreate simply click on the “!!Missing!!..” dialogue option. Game functionality recovered on it’s own within about a minute.
Update: tried with a friend who hasn’t done the quest chain on seasonal character yet
Joined his party, he could see the appropriate dialogue & start quest chain
But I still get this missing dialogue & quest didn’t trigger for me when he picked it up

I’m also still getting this error! Seasonal Necro. Been waiting five minutes and the game has not resumed on its own.
