Missable Side-Quest?

I am definitely locked out of a side quest that takes place in a main quest area, after having completed the main quest.

“I haven’t experienced a missable sidequest” and “I haven’t heard anyone say they missed a side quest” are not evidence that no side quest can be missed.

I think the problem is that now my only way back in to this main quest area is to find a player who is on the main quest and join their party with them as party leader. The problem is all the more impractical to solve when the world state changes and I am completely segregated from players who haven’t started the main quest. I cannot see them or talk to them without going further out of my way.

people are talking about main quest line not side quests, and no you are totally wrong
you can start with any of the 3 acts as you wish

oh am i?

this is literally your own words …

congratulation, you played yourself

Guys, it has been concluded that there are no “missable” quests, not main quests nor side quests.

  • Every single side-quest you collect can be completed at any point during or after the campaign and in terms of Act I-III it does not matter which order you approach them in.

  • Correct me if I am wrong though, but Act IV can only be started once Act I, II and III are complete.

  • Some side-quests are triggered by finding certain items which can only be obtained from harvesting plants, mining ore, turning bodies or killing certain enemies. These enemies can be found in the open world or in dungeons.

  • Each main region has their own such side-quest. From experience, the same item which triggers the same side-quest was found at different places, BUT in the same region. In other words, just because you got it from a bush at one corner of the region, does not mean you will get it there again.

  • So, if you want to find all those side-quests, just interact with the mineral deposits, plants and dead bodies.

  • Also important, certain quest items like letters might seem like magic items (dark blue), but they are slightly different in colour. I missed some of these, because I don’t pick up low tier items. Nevertheless, going back, I was able to find them again. One tip in regards to this, is that these items will usually contain the words “parchment, letter, paper, note, etc…” in their name, so that’s one way you to know that it is not a weapon.

  • It would be nice if such items would clearly be a different colour.

TL;DR: It is NOT possible to miss out on quests.

What is possible however. Is to do a dungeon and miss one random rare that will drop a quest item…

Have fun tracking those down without a guide.

again even for side quests you can do them in any order

exacctly, you are totally right and thats what i was saying for so long
its been like that even on beta
the story are free on the first 3 acts
but starting act 4 and following MUST be after finishing from 1 to 3
and side quests = anytime, you can even skip camp and still do it (skip camp after doing it once at least)

you dont need to track them, they appear on the map
the only ones that you need to find are the drops (like from monsters or from collecting ores and herbs)

Yeah, and some of the quest start drops are from random monsters inside dungeons.

Hello,

Im currently facing problem with the side quests.
There is a sidequest called “Consumed by Pride” in the Drysppes area that dont work for me.
I have all the side quests except this one that does not work for me.

although it looks like you can’t completely miss a side quest, some are temporarily blocked.
but the internet is unfortunately divided here. as long as no dev says anything about it, there are different reports

There’s a quest tracker which literally shows you how many quests you have finished and how many there are.

I have completed all side quests on a single character and currently working at it on my 2nd.

And with the first one, I didn’t focus on side quests, I finished the campaign and went back to doing side quests. Therefore, if by any chance it is possible to be “temporarily blocked” then it’s best to just finish the campaign first.

The only thing I noticed, was that there’s a max number of quests you can have active at any point. In which case, you must finish a quest to pick up a new one.

I would have a free space available at all times so that you can pick up items which initiate quests. I believe if you have no room for quests, these items cannot be picked up and will despawn, forcing you to look for it again.

Correct you can’t miss them. Although it is hard to find them.

What if you don’t go to the quest giver and accept the quest until later/after main campaign completion?

Can they disappear and become missable then?

Do you have to accept them, albeit not complete the quest just yet, for them to not be missable?

I have finished at least 3 zones prior to season one. There do not appear to be any that don’t work or get locked. You may have a hell of a time finding out what two you are missing without a list and knowing what you already did though.

Nope. There is no way to miss out on quests. If you do come across such a quest, do report it as a bug because it’s not intended to be like that.

You can complete all the quests in any order.
