Ahahah no wonder glyphs don’t work, seems that Necromancer it’s really bad. Everything I read on the forum makes me realize that we don’t have to use the Necromancer right now.
If this can be tested and shown to the bug forums I imagine it will be addressed quickly
So it is broken then? Because Im hitting about the exact same number range and nothing I do is increasing the damage. Even the legendary node for general minions did nothing for me.

I did toss a quick thread in the bug report subforum earlier. Didn’t post any quantifiable truth, but the tooltip doesn’t even change to imply that things are being implied; with the in-action numbers showing the same. I also reported on the fact that the golem mastery passive is only giving 1.1/1.2/1.3x damage when the tooltip implies much more.
this is not good news if it is bugged .im just about to start paragon boards , and was going to invest into the minion and golem boards …

Yeah, it hurt as much finding out. My mages were always more damage, but my golem could do a good chunk with its activatable. Once I got into paragon, the difference starting making itself known more and more. Now each of my mages are doing thrice my golem’s basic damage, and nearly as much as his active power per bolt.
Cult leader didn’t boost my golem’s damage, Hulking monstrocity didn’t boost my golem’s damage and my glyph boosted minion damage % didn’t boost my golem’s damage.
Dude, if this is true, then it explains so many things about necro right now.

I would like to add that I came across this discovery earlier today and can confirm everything this person is saying. None of the damage stuff for minions in paragon boards affects the summons at all. Only the pure damage for everything does. My summon necro is DOA right now.
If this is true necro is completely bugged. Many of necro’s spells are not working properly if at all right now.
had me worried but i loaded just a single reaper skelly and he hit for more then 1k on a white auto 3k+ on his wind up swing.
Just retested both the golem and the reapers. Without any paragon nodes mine hit for 230. with a 105% increase from the board they are hitting for 230.
The golem is the same after retesting his board. Also worth noting is that the blues in his board say your damage increases and those dont do anything as well.
Did you remove skeleton and golem skill off your skill bar so all old minions are completely removed and then readd and resummon with paragon points.
Just as a snapshots error issue.
I messed around with a mixture of all of that, just incase it was a stat application issue. Nothing actually changed. They’re just dead nodes in general it seems. Until they’re fixed, my golem will be dealing a good fifth of the damage that he should be doing.

Highly unlikely. The class has had buggy skill-related stuff being reported since at least the first pre-order beta, and Blizzard has done nothing to fix it.
No wonder. I had an inkling that my minions weren’t actually getting much stronger even with such high damage% multipliers on my paragon board. I was so frustrated I would just sit for a minute using no other abilities, watching my skeletons split off elites to go attack enemies on the edge of the screen (another massive disappointment being their A.I.) and they would only hit for about 600-1k damage. Insanely pitiful for the investment. So I got to thinking, either it’s meant to be this way, or the investment is broken and not working as it should.
Ok so after testing around with minion paragon boards, i relogged between each test and removed the skill from my bar to unsummon my minions in case of snapshoting. tests were made attacking the exact same mobs no uniques/legendaries were equipped during the tests and the numbers i took were all from non critical hits
Mages (cold upgrade 1):
60% mage damage from the ability tree, they seem to be doing around 600-1050 damage
60% mage damage from the ability tree + 66% minion damage from the paragon board, they seem to do around 950-1650 damage
Warriors (skirmishers upgrade 1):
45% warrior damage from the ability tree, they seem to be doing around 150-250
45% warrior damage from the ability tree +66% minion damage from paragon board, they seem to be doing around 250-350 damage
Golem (bone upgrade 1):
75% golem damage fron the ability tree, it seems to be doing around 400-650 damage
75% golem damage fron the ability tree + 66% minion damage from paragon board, it seems to be doing around 650-900 damage
the board bonuses do seem to work. The damage still feel terrible tho, as a comparison i used bone spear lvl5 with no investment in gear , ability tree or paragon and im hitting 1900-2500
On a sidenote, the minion ai really needs to be looked at, even if the enemy is sitting on top of you, your minions do not attack anything unless you attack first or the enemy deals damage to either you or your minions.
