I find that the mini map now showing all the enemies, ore veins, chests etc. very annoying.
Was this added to appease the console players? Seems like it dumbed down the game.
Is there a way to get rid of the new mini map, and go back to the old one?

yup, D4 is now feels like a retro 8 bit mobile game, where even you play it on 32 inch monitor or 77 inch tv, you still stare at the 6 inch display area 90% of the time.
If you’re referring to the gold dots, these only seem to show up once you hire a mercenary. They weren’t there previously before I got mine.
Sabo the mercenary shows them. Just don’t use him. Turbohud is 100% better anyway and warden can’t detect it

Why do you think that warden can’t detect turbohud when there are banwaves for it?
Because there aren’t.
Bots yeah, but no one has ever shown definitive proof of a turbohud ban.
