Midwinter Blight How to Start?

  1. Go to Kyovashad’s main city
  2. Find Gileon the bard in Midwinter Square

I can’t find Gileon. Fractured Peaks also aren’t purple like all the maps online. What am I missing?

Are you playing seasonal or eternal? It’s only in the seasonal realm.

Eternal. Didn’t see that it was Seasonal only. Kind of a shame. I don’t want to create another character and wanted to do this on my main character. Why would you limit a Holiday like this? Imagine Winterveil in Warcraft only for alts.

Yeah there was no reason they couldnt have added it in the eternal. I really think it was a poor decision eapecially around the holidays.

Well i mean they want people to buy battle passes but at this point in the season it is just silly. Its just cosmetics and a sad 1 hour buff.

i dont necessarily disagree. im just saying. they didnt seem like they were gonna have ppl play eternal.

I can see it. Honestly I dont get the appeal of eternal with how fast it is to level and get geared.

I do know some enjoy the eternal just like I did in D2 but D2 has that lv 99 grind.

Marketing and sales purposes… nothing more.

Did you even bother to check?

From December 12, 10 a.m.–January 2, 10 a.m. PST players on the Seasonal Realm :point_left: in World Tier I or above can sink their sword into frostbitten demons by heading over to the Midwinter Square in Kyovashad and speaking with Gileon, the bard . After hearing rumors about spiteful dangers lurking in the snow and the advanced cold sapping the morale of Kyovashad’s citizens, Gileon seeks to reignite the holiday spirit in the townsfolk the only way he knows how—with a celebration!

Ever wonder what the holidays are like in Sanctuary? Well, now you can find out in our first seasonal :point_left: event, Midwinter Blight, beginning on December 12 and lasting for three weeks . Trudge through the snow-laden, winter terror-land of Fractured Peaks, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for a mysterious, red-cloaked terror!

Well, I did find and speak with Gileon and the Fractured Peaks is all purple on my map. However, in 4 hours of play, all in the Fractured Peaks, I found absolutely no blighted creatures, no midwinter materials, or anything to do with the midwinter blight. 4 hours. I am in seasonal.

What am I doing wrong?

I’m having the same issue. & the confusing part is I AM on a seasonal character. Yet Gileon is not showing on the map at all.

This is an 11 month old thread, the event has not started yet for this year. It will start next week.

From November 19, 10 a.m. PST—December 3, 10 a.m. PST , the Red-Cloaked Horror has a chance to spawn in Helltide, instead of a Hellborne, while Blightfiends spread their malice within Helltide ambushes. The Red-Cloaked Horror also has a chance to appear in the Infernal Hordes and Dungeons to ambush you from the shadows. Defeat these frigid foes for increased rewards, such as Cinders, Burning Aether, and more.

Sorry. Did not realize this was a year ago. But I got a PSN notification that it has started again, yet I am finding nothing on the map about it.

Next week on 2024-11-19T18:00:00Z is when it will start.

When I try to activate the Midwinder Ward for 2024 nothing happens. Tried it in both eternal and seasonal realms. is it broken or delayed?

I’m pretty sure that only works one time. Are you sure you didn’t use it already? Doesn’t honestly matter all that much, the “event” is underwhelming to say the least.

Nothing seemed to have happened. If the only thing is a few items and the random boss spawn then your right. It isn’t worth running.

The midwinter ward only pops out a few caches of goodies. It’s also only a one time reward per account. So if you clicked on it with one character regardless of the realm, HC or not, that was it. You won’t get it on any other character.

I have the caches now, however not where expected. I clicked it originally on the eternal realms with one char but they have turned up today on the seasonal. Happy to have them, assuming it was corrected across the board for players. Thankyou
