Finishing the acquisition. Ur looking way too far into this. Just finish the acquisition already. Anything Microsoft does will be a positive because it could not possibly get worse

I mean it’s still going to be the same people working on the same game. IT companies get acquired all the time and nothing really changes for years

Even if microsoft jump in to the project, not gonna change much in the game, i think at least not soon (not earlier than at least one year, even so i don’t expect revolutionary changes)

I like how people think Micro$oft acquiring Blizzard will change anything for the better. If there are going to be significant changes at all, they’re probably going to be in the pay2win direction.

- Even when the aquisition comes through, they already stated that they will continue to let blizzard and activision keep doing what they need to do. So microsoft taking over, not gonna change a thing with the game

Probably they hope that with microsoft in they will get an easier game, who knows xd
Microsoft will probably improve the development of Blizzard games.
gonna either get rid of bobby boy or give him a boss. either of those things are a win for me.
MS has mishandled its last two major launches with Bloodfall and Halo Infinite. What on god’s green earth makes you think MS is going to right the ship?

Which is funny since except for like Echo Lilith this is an easy game for casuals.

I kind of hope they just put this game in maintenance mode and write it off. Then immediately get to work on Diablo 5 and hire David Brevik. The hype alone would break sales records.

theyre not going to kick them. why would they? stock is crushing. company is up 1,000s of percent. D4 just set records.

It’s followed the exact same trend of pretty much every other company in the market including MSFT. Probably a bit worse, actually.
I mean, not really. What does “fastest selling” even mean. It’s not even going to outsell Diablo 3, and that was 12 years ago with only a PC focus. The gaming market has exploded since then. Diablo 4 should be running laps around it. And the likelihood of Diablo 5 receiving any kind of attention is becoming more and more unlikely because of this fiasco.
The only way to fix that is to shake up the company and call it brand new. Put some shine on it. I’m sure Microsoft recognizes this.
