11. Renown system is just a side content force feed.
12. All these nerfs and almost 0 buffs.
13. Map doesn’t carry over to alts.

These are just SOME of the glaring issues in the game.

I can see why people are bombing it tbh, game alot of us have waited for for 8 years+ and they thumbled with alot of the community, not to mention silence on their end about any upcoming QOL changes ( if there will be ) and before you white knights get all up in arms just remember just because its easy for you or u enjoy it doesn’t mean the majority needs to feel the same.

Or maybe people just dont like the game and are taking initiative to let the masses know

I don’t understand why so many nerfs every day. This is the same reason I quit WoW. Harsh big nerfs every 2 weeks.

This is an RPG, not league of legends, I can’t just click a different champion in champ select.

What’s the point of spending weeks/month’s building a character when you have no idea what Blizzard is going to do to it every 2 weeks?

I agree, solo players feeling them the most too.

Just feels to me that they polished up the campaign and were forced to push the game out of the door a year too early, it is clearly not ready for endgame play, missing basic features and any real polish.
Apart from all the above list and more, it is riddled with bugs and crashes relentlessly for some people, particularly console players.

This, 100% this. Just like D3. Give people just the part of the game that is finished, let them buy the game, and by the time the player base is into the area that is unfinished it is too late for a refund with out suing them.

Very true, i wanted d4 to be good truly and playing the last season in d3 gave me hope.

10 year old dated endgame philosophy.

The problem with metacritic is that there have been 431 user reviews so far 229 positive, 169 negative and 31 mixed.

The user score is now back up to 6.0 because of a small number of positive reviews today. However the user score is meaningless either way because 431 is such a small sample of the player base as to be statistically useless.

Also it’s as you can see very polarised with some hating the game and others loving it. So what conclusions can we draw from this score that this tiny sample have polarised opinions and that the sample size is too small to tell us what the majority of people who have bought it actually think.

I said it gave me hope not that I wish it would be exactly like that

Statistical significance is not needed. As a metric it still shows that a lot of people are upset, disappointed, and angry with this game. Plenty of other games are able to get much more favorable positive to negative ratios.

No a small number of people are actually willing to make an account and leave a review

1.Horrible lvling experience. -First time felt fine. Alts feel a bit mind-numbing. Expect level-skips and EXP potions to be sold in the store soon.
2. Gear is all wack and confusing. -Clarification needed. I do think there are a lot of redundant and unnecessary affixes/suffixes that just bloat things
3. Cant reroll ANY stats on uniques. -They are uniques. Their stats are meant to be consistent.
4. No global chat no lfg in a open world game. -Good. I don’t want to see other people or hear them.
5. Nerfing barb so hard people could barley play it now. -No comment. I don’t play Barb and don’t know their current status.
6. Constant nerfing of elite mobs. -Finding a pack of 4 Fire elites with their minions on my Necro made me want to self-delete. Hopefully they are nerfing this kind of nonsense.
7. No timers for world boss or helltide. Need a 3rd party for that job apparently. -Agreed, if true. Haven’t payed much attention.
8. Lvl scaling feels horrible for anyone not playing a meta build. -Debatable. Some non-meta builds are fine to a certain point. Not enough people have gotten to the upper-echelons to determine their results.
9. Meta builds getting nerfed every day across the board. -It’s hardly every day. And these builds are overperforming by absurd values compared to everything else. You can’t get effective data when one outlier is so extreme it skews the numbers.
10. Crafting costs are outstandingly outrageous. -Agreed
11. Renown system is just a side content force feed. -Renown system sucks. If it needs to be done again every season, the game will die faster than D3.
12. All these nerfs and almost 0 buffs. -Nerfs are easier to do and take less effort. Blizzard won’t put effort into anything if it doesn’t contribute to monetization.
13. Map doesn’t carry over to alts. -Because the Renown system is tied to it. Another reason Renown sucks.

Diablo is far too big an IP to say 400-500 people’s opinion give any sort of relevant information as to how good a game is based on scores given.

Btw, I’m not saying these people can’t have an opinion, good or bad, but in the large scheme of rating a game, ~500 is too small a sample.

If you done care or want to see other people why care if their builds are overpreforming? And idc what you say im lvl 61 and lvling barb up to that point has felt awful at most times and several diff build trys.

Those two subjects are mutually exclusive issues that have nothing to do with one another. Overperforming builds directly affect the rest of the class as it skews the data about how well the class AS A WHOLE is doing.

That is fine, but why say anything in a public forum if all you want is an echo chamber? Barb may not be doing well right now; I don’t know.

So nerfing it every other day os okay tho

Because people are playing broken specs doing insane damage. They weren’t intended to work a certain way and Blizzard caught on and started disabling aspects until they could be fixed to work as intended.

You have obviously never been involved in a field of science where you have to figure out if your result is statistically significant or not.

Sample size is far from irrelevant as it can lead you to entirely wrong conclusions.

What we actually know from Metacritic is that 169 people for one reason or another hated the game 229 people loved it, 33 people had mixed feelings about it.

You can’t extrapolate that via % of sample across the millions who bought it because it isn’t a big enough sample to know if it’s representative, it isn’t a big enough sample by a long shot.

If I’d sold millions of copies of something and only a few hundred or thousand people disliked what they brought I would be fairly happy particularly if it was a book, film or video game, not everyone likes everything. But of course we have no idea how many people actually liked or disliked it far larger or smaller proportions might have liked or disliked it than this sample suggests.

Blizzard will be monitoring how many people are playing the game and how often e.g. retention, this will be of great importance to them and they will look at feedback as well but generally more detailed and constructive feedback rather than rants and they will try and get some proper statistically data through what people do most in games and through surveys to find out how most people who are playing would like to see the game enhanced.

That doesn’t sound like something a good game company would let happen. But Hey especially when they’ve been working on it this long, So you’re telling me p*** poor testing led to a bad 3nd user experience. And overperforming in a game that doesn’t even have a looking for group option doesn’t feel like an issue at me.

I mean I don’t know how it was missed but I’m guessing the testers were trying to catch show stopping bugs as priority.
