I updated my Mother Board BIOS (ASUS Z790 WIFI7). I have been playing for several hours now without a single crash. All my settings are set to optimal, and I’ve turned off Ray Tracing. I hope this helps.

If it can be fixed by changing a setting on your computer than it never was a memory leak…
When a program request memory for a function and it finishes that function it returns that memory allocation to the system. In a memory leak, it fails to return the memory back to the system, so it uses more and more memory and eventually the system runs out of memory. It is a software problem but in your case it was a hardware problem.
Most common fix is limiting how much d4 can pull from your system, that would make it directly responsible no?

in using asus board also with original bios i can play for hours with no issues sometime … other times not so good hit and miss
i do notice in task manager that game is using up to 75% system memory [32g installed]
This is why I put (Fenris Error). I am just happy I was able to resolve the issue and hope it can be of value to others.

How i fixed mine was using a CPU limiting program. You can find them free. Limit diablo.exe AFTER it starts to use no more than 90% of the CPU.
I am not going to go into details about how/why D4 wants to eat your CPU, just use said type of program and you will be fine.
