TL;DNR Memento Morti does not work for the shadow damage increase on sacrificing reapers.

I am playing a shadow necromancer build and have picked Memento Morti in combo with sacrificing reapers for 15% shadow damage (as well as ice mages for + vuln dam). I am also running Sacrificial Aspect for the synergy (15% increase sacrificed value).

Here is the issue: Morti gives me 0 value on the shadow damage % increase. I proved this by putting on my Sacrificial aspect and taking it off, my damage goes from 15% to 17% for shadow as it should. However when I take off the Momento Morti my shadow damage done on the character sheet remains the same- and does not behave like Sacrifical Aspect. I have logged out and in, etc. still no change. I am not sure if this is a UI bug or if its actual impacting my character so I will continue testing. Kind of annoying, since its 4 skill points its a lot to invest into a build- really just want to know if its working or not so I can move on to other builds or stay. Is anyone else having an issue with this skill point?

I don’t think Memento Mori works at all or at least it isn’t reflected on the player stat screen. I use the sacrificed cold mages and not only does memento mori not increase the damage done to vulnerable enemies, sacrificing cold mages doesn’t seem to do anything at all., at least reflected in stats.

If the similar legendary is anything to go by, I wouldn’t even expect much of this with the way they implemented the math. The Sacrificial aspect claims to increase your sacrifice bonuses by ~20%. While I believe it did show up in the stat panel for an iron golem sacrifice, it was, of course, 20% of 15% so a whooping +3% shadow / vulnerability damage.

Pretty terrible to lose a class function for such a low boost that requires talent investment…

Then again, it may be more detrimental to waste 2 skill slots on your hotbar for pets. They really need to look at Last Epoch for info on how to design pets. Summoner builds for multiple classes in that game work amazing.
