Mega thread of QoL changes you would like to see added

List things here you would like to see changed for Quality of Life. Lets keep this specific to QoL not balance tuning or anything class specific unless it involves quality of life.

  • Fully discovered Map and Waypoints for repeat characters (alts and new seasons) if 1st/Main character has discovered ALL Waypoints and ALL areas explored as a prerequisite.

  • A global/world chat beyond that of just “local/zone” chat. (Mostly to just incentivize the social aspect of the game, conversing, meeting new people, potential grouping and clan/community recruiting opportunities without having to actually see other players as that is not intended with the current design and I like it how it is).

  • Trading enabled for legendary & Unique items. As well as some form of valuable trade currency or commodity to stimulate an economy.

  • The ability to zoom in/out the mini-map just a tad bit more.

  • Being able to track more than 1 quest/side quest progress at a time

  • Side quest being auto added to the tracking list if you go into a side quest area or leave it

  • When you are hovering over aspects in your aspect tab highlights any pieces in your equipped inventory that you have that aspect imbued into currently.

  • Salvaging Unique items giving significantly more materials compared to salvaging legendary items. (Currently is the same).

  • Stash Space addressed. (I’m suspect this is coming via battle pass in the free tiers or something preplanned)

Ability to teleport directly to people in your group instead of having to go through the main town. It cuts down the load screen times and less tedious.

Current:
Teleport to Town → Load → Run south 10 ft to purple portal → Load → End

Reduced to:
Teleport to Player → Load → End

We had this in closed beta, you could craft and use summoning scrolls. Why this was removed is beyond me.

Lets have items drop that are within your level range, that would be great.

Its glum when a sparkly drops and its 10 levels below your current level.

GIVE US A MAP OVERLAY!
More stash tabs.
Remove the limit on how many side quests we can have at one time.
Loot filter.
Searchable inventory and stash.
When we look at the codex, highlight the ones that are currently equipped and tell us what gear slot.
Better notification on world events. It’s pathetic right now.

Map overlay

More challenging endgame boss fights that are actually rewarding.

More rewarding gameplay loop for endgame in general.

Group finder.

World boss timer on map.

About 50 more character slots and stash tabs.

All of this added for free and not a paid expansion like in D3.

  • Some sort of timer on the world map for when the next helltide / world boss will happen
  • More polished mount movement mechanics. The horse gets stuck or slows down on terrain a lot… and most of the terrain in this game are narrow tunnels that lead to other narrow tunnels…

Time played metrics.

  • Overlay Map
  • More Stash Room(unpaid)
  • Public chat/Area chat
  • Group queue for events/keeps/dungeons(while near the entrance of each object(like WoW meeting stones))

Maybe I’m doing it wrong, but I haven’t found a way to track more than one side-quest at a time. It’d be handy when trying to do multiple quests simultaneously.

Display issues with necro need addressed: blighted corpse explosion blacking out the screen and the cutscene flickering with unstoppable icon on minions.

Stash: more space, filters, search, etc.

Inventory: Gem tab, split up potions from sigils, maybe filters, but less important than the stash filters.

Even though I generally play these games solo, this iteration of D4 seems to heavily encourage group play, so I’d appreciate a better way to find people to play with. Even if it’s just a button to join a random group doing either campaign or the dungeon I’m in. Maybe have sigils give you an option to join another equal tier dungeon automatically.

It’s probably laziness to some degree on my part, but I’d really like the main hub towns to have the important vendors and stash much closer together. It’s not fun to have to run back and forth across an oversized town to get to the services I need.

I’ll give you a hint. It starts with cash, and ends with shop.

Gems need to go into crafting/reagent bag.

Be able to see which stats can come up with enchanting. With their ranges.

TBH the single biggest QoL issue I’m having with the game right now, is that the damned ‘Hold Position’ command, doesn’t hold your ****ing position! Who was responsible for this? It’s rage inducing, so whoever screwed this up, congrats.

We need a legendary drop rate tweak for solo players. It feels like a real slog and fights take too long. I’m following builds but it can only do so much when your gear is just crap for hours and hours.

Map overlay option. I hate having to hit tab and not seeing my character or my surroundings.

We need to be zoomed out a little bit more, it’s too zoomed in and it feels like I’m playing on a small oldschool monitor.

Advanced item stats on gear should be on by default. It is mind boggling the devs thought it would be bad for players to see the range of stats a piece of gear can drop by default.

Small sample size and all, but I really do think they stealth nerfed the leg drop rate on Monday. Before that I would routinely get 2-3 per dungeon, or more. Now I’m lucky if I get one.

I opened a 150 cinder chest last night. Zero legendaries. FML.

You’re reaching a bit. They removed it because they want the players to “experience the world” at a slower pace.

  • Being able to save different specs, so I can quickly swap between solo and group builds without having to manually click every single ability point. Could cost the same as refunding all points to swap between them.
  • A training room with a couple of target dummies that count dps + total damage. Would be even nicer if you could temporarily respec for free while in this room, so you can try different builds. When leaving it could revert to the spec you had when you entered.

Not sure if that was supposed to be funny, but it is.
