Hey guys, i wanted to inquire about the armor cap on barbs. I play a double swing barb. I have armor affix on my chest but i also run uniques in other slots that don’t have armor affixes ( yen, tibaults, tuskhelm)
I wanted to inquire how you guys meeting the armor caps based on your gear affixes and gear selections. My resistances are all cap but never my armor.
If i masterwork all defensive gear to 12 will I reach it?
What do you guys do?
I use Juggnaughts Aspect until such a point when I can get itempower 925 gear and I tend to select one “Armor” affix on my pants (but you can pick whatever gear you want) and then I typically temper on a “Total Armor %” as well and that’s all I need to max out armor. Juggernaught will of course be replaced with something more fun 
Later in the game when I master work things, perhaps you have a greater affix for armor then you can reach armor cap (9230) without the temper “Total Armor %”.
It’s a journey, but it’s easy and doable. Just note that I always put STR on as much gear/weapons and paragon as I can as they contribute to armor + you get DPS at the same time. win-win.
I may be wrong, have to look since I have not reached masterwork 12/12, but I used to run 2 affix armor, then I found a greater affix armor and I think it is possible for this single armor affix as long as it is GA to reach armor cap in end game.
For reference, I have a 9/12 masterwork, GA armor, and 1x 25% jump at the upgrade, and the armor value is 3674. I did not go out of my way to get armor on paragon, only if it was along the forced path to reach a node, and I am beyond armor cap currently.
