Surprisingly Immortal has a lot of better ideas than D4. Bounties, Rifts, Dungeons, Bosses, Faction system feel much better designed and more fun than their D4 versions.
Issue of course is that it’s a mobile game with tons of annoying notifications about rewards that throw me off but besides p2w, lets look at the content.
Is anyone even doing Whispers that are not dungeons? You go to a whisper marker and there’s nothing here. You constantly have to look for something like those corpses often being outside of range on map. Whole system needs rework.
Dungeons tried to be mapping system but failed too and we go back to rifts. Meanwhile their Immortal version has less but more unique dungeons with cool bosses and no annoying objectives.
You can group up with party finder for a Boss in any time in Immortal instead of this fomo World Boss mechanic.
You can join Shadows or Immortals in Immortal and do their activities meanwhile in D4 you look for hidden statues for boring Renown system.
And Helltides… gameplay wise they seem fun for leveling but we’ll be looking at this red color for the rest of D4 existence? I miss environment and different colors.

Agreed. It would be great if they took inspiration from the positive aspects of Immortal as well, not just Diablo 3. Of course, the pay-to-win concept should be left out entirely.

Tbh i wish they would add p2w in diablo 4. Im so tired of all the people who RMT from the bots and inflat gold. Since blizzard refuses to actually combat it, they should just sell gold themselves.
Absolutely, we do them in Helltides now which give you a full bar. I focused on doing those while leveling up and ignored blood maiden because her HP was a little high while leveling, and wasn’t worth grinding.
Now the rest I can’t vouch for as I don’t play Diablo Immortal. I have heard good things about its systems though, even if it is a P2W game.
Stopped on your first sentence it’s pay 2 win so that’s all I need to know, keep this crap far away from d4 please

Shame you stopped because I didn’t forget to mention I’m against p2w too.
But do you specifically look for their objectives or more like “oh somehow I completed a whisper while just clearing Helltide”? Helltides give so much loot, would you feel like you miss Tree reward? Shouldn’t Whispers be a separate mode to do something different than Helltides or Dungeons?
Well that’s my point if a game is pay 2 win it’s all around trash, no good qualities
I did when obol vendor was worthwhile as I’d run into a fair number of events (which also give decent mats.) Now that it’s nerfed into the ground no, it’s dungeon or nothing.
They aren’t talking about the pay model in Immortal or advocating that D4 go p2w. They are talking about the game contents.

Yea I know all content in a pay 2 win is trash, can’t get past that pay 2 win for any of it to be good
This. On the rare occasion I actually travel through a non-Helltide open world area, I think to myself “Oh right, I forgot this zone looked like this!”
They’re really good at making their game irrelevant:
D4 is open world! → You’ll never spend time in it unless it’s a Helltide
We have 3 tiers of items and 100 levels to progress through! → Game is so easy you can entirely skip a gear tier and rush to 925s. Once you have that gear, lvl 100 is an inevitable afterthought, not a real goal"
Get Masterworking mats in the Pit! → AKSHUALLY… you’ll get showered with masterworking mats -and gem fragments and tons of gold- in Infernal Hordes. Don’t bother with any other game mode once your glyphs are leveled.
They’re literally power-creeping their game into irrelevancy.
That’s Different from D4 how?

Sounds like you completely lack the ability to understand nuance lol.
I consider it this way, hitlers regime was trash altogether, one could argue it had some good qualities but does anyone care? No
Just because Diablo immortal is p2w doesn’t mean that there arnt things in the game that are good ideas
Does to me, I won’t even try pay2win games, why would I?
