So, they upped the build in their tier list to S+, even though the build guide hasn’t updated in 2 weeks. Has anybody here had success with this build?
I’m still missing good masterworking here and there and my glyphs are only around level 55 for this build, but I got things going as well. Got a perfect 4 GA Wound Drinker with triple crit Thorns, a double Crit GA Razorplate and decent gear overall. Only 50% Attack speed so far though. I think the gear is already half decent, but Pit 80 is still so slow.
Anyone has any inside into this build’s potential? I don’t know if I want to grind so much Obducite anymore if I can’t clear at least Pit 100 with it. I wonder if reaching the Attack Speed cap, higher glyph levels and some better masterworking will make that much difference. The build feels kinda weak.
I leveled with it and it performed well but was looking to experiment so it was easy to switch over to the rock splitter/thorns build which i’m liking more. Since the SB are so op’d this season i may make another with a different build to try more out. I’m just not a fan of the Soar skill on a controller as it’s wasted and there is zero wayi can aim that thing. Only use the vortex rune on the rock splitter to group enemies up.
Really? I love Soar on controller. I got it on the triangle button. It feels like cheating. You can even skip the jump passage on the way to Lord Zir. 
i can’t aim it and it doesn’t go where wanted so it was a wasted skill in my eyes. After switching to the rock splitter build it played better for me and was super easy
I have to admit the skill overshoots here and there. But you can jump over the Duriel balls which is nice, too.
they updated to a boring rake with known viscous shield , rod staff same as other build.
I also play with with it before, max DPS is about 50B(with 4GA thorn armor), maybe rock splitter thorn is the one A tier.
Wow, they really deleted the build. What a letdown. I could swear Rake/Thorns was the one in S+ tier a couple of days ago. Not too fond of Maxroll this season. Dance of Knives Rogue was falsely placed in S tier and corrected after 3 weeks also.
yeah, misleading S+ tier, thorn seems not S+ unless some new ‘bug’ found

I never played Rake Throns and havnt kept up with meta as im playi g other stuff, but I remeber when I was playing Rock Splitter thorns i chuckled when they had it high b tier…when in my opinion it was high A tier at MINIMUM and could easily be S tier. So depending on how the thorns fuction with Rake, S+ wouldnt surprise me.
