I started keeping track of ancestral max aspects after hearing about some folks reporting the salvage bug. I think this is the 4th or 5th max rolled ancestral item aspect I’ve salvaged in the last couple days and it still doesn’t max out the roll in my codex.
Saw some folks in the community saying it was fine and it just isnt.
I’m 205 paragon with only 3 max level aspects.
Need to continue to upvote this or if it’s already being tracked, a blue response would be appreciated. Just salvaged two max roll aspects and they didn’t upgrade in the codex… AGAIN. Its a core mechanic that is simply broken and needs a hot fix ASAP.
Agree. Until something is announced/acknowledged would suggest people not salvage their ancestral max aspect rolls.
The internet is currently masking the actual bug under the common misunderstanding (Legendary vs Ancestral Legendary), but this issue 100% exists and people are not properly paying attention to it.
This doesn’t seem to happen consistently (another Ancestral Legendary managed to upgrade the Codex until the end in a following bulk dismantle session), so I am not sure what is stopping the Codex from updating. But it’s clearly not just the misunderstanding part that the internet is talking about.
My flamethrower aspect has been 16/21 forever. So yesterday i spent all my pale marks at the Den to get legendary items that had Flamethrower aspect. So i got exactly 5 items. I salvaged them at the Den, but it codex it is still 16/21. And if i checked my codex, i have just one 21/21 aspect. Most are at 13-16 and i should have more maxed ones at this point of the game

Same issues here, stuck on 16/21 for days even dismantling ancestral aspects.
Other bug is the on the paragon not reducing amount of attributes need for 3rd or 4th page after resetting board. 3rd page asking for the same amount of attributes as 5th page even after resetting it
Did anyone get any news about that issue ?
There is no point trying to get better items if we can’t get the upgraded aspect.
I’m missing half the dps / effect some of my spells could have because the roll I currently have is so low.
Not a bug. Knowledge issue.

Just had this happen to me tonight.
I’ve noticed on the past that when I was salvaging aspects that are upgrades, they didn’t seem to be upgrading.
Tonight I got a max roll of unyielding hits on an ancestral piece of gear, salvaged it, said it upgraded in the codex. Went to go see right away and it was still the same.
I only paid attention because I felt it was bugging on prior salvages…
Its is 100% a bug.
tested and confirmed that to overwrite with higher values, for example “max roll”, item level 800 is required in my case.
