This is ridiculously tedious, trying to hit the same affix 3rd time consumes a lot of resources and time. Do you really expect us to log in to the game, spend the whole day grinding for mats? Instead of enjoying the game like playing another character or try other builds?
This is basically driving your players away either due to the repetitiveness and boredom.
This needs to be revisited or else this will surely make the players frustrated and feel bored.
how would your perfect item keep you engaged in the game?
how would you like to live your life daily? grind hordes all day?
No one is forcing you to grind for hitting the same affix 3 times on every piece of gear. It’s not worth it anyway. Just upgrade your items and experiment with new builds/toons. Simple as that. Everything else is personal choice.

perfect items should be doable, if you are lucky, but at the end of the day youll end every season with item slots that are imperfect.
that isnt a reason for an ASAP masterwork change.
Not gonna give them any idea how to fix their mechanics, surely they can do a change regarding the matter.
You nerds think we all just play here all day. We have lives too. So a lil bit of enjoyment of seeing your character has a good gear before it goes eternal is not that bad.

putting massive eternal realm changes aside. characters are never perfectly geared in any arpg. like literally, never.
I’ve been trying to triple crit all my items on LS sorc, got 5 pieces done so far and my bottle neck is iron ore

My bottle neck is not the rarest MW mat but a basic crafting mat. You burn through so many doing the MW resets and the game doesn’t give you enough via salvaging and legion events to keep up.
