I officially once again, full on hate this title. I’m done with the season and probably the game for a very long time.
I just spent 3 days, 3 DAYS, farming gold and mats, trading items, only to spend a billion, yes that’s with a B, trying to get cooldown reduction to roll on this Shako.
It’s taking me around 10 attempts just to get a base critical roll on the CDR on what should be a 25% chance as there are only 4 gear affixes. And a second crit appears to be impossible. I actually lost count of how many double crit max life, and resource generation I achieved.
Like in what universe is this fun? The system feels exactly the same as some cancerous gacha game and I’ve just proven, to myself anyways, that this “end game” is a complete sham. I’m not asking for perfect gear, I’m just asking for a chance to be able to actually get a gear upgrade without spending 400 hours farming whispers only to have it fail over and over again.
Anyone defending this current meta needs a reality check, hidden weighted affixing at 5 million a re roll is absolutely absurd.

your confirmation bias is hard. you assume weighted rng because you didnt get what you want. relax everything will be ok.

Yea you will too when you spend like 150 rolls trying to achieve it. There is simply no way there is even weighted rolls on these items, Shako especially because it has only 4 possible affixes.
I am relaxed, the game in its current state is a complete waste of time beyond just masterworking , accepting the result, and being done with the season.

i can confirm this as well on shako. spent all day farming pits and rerolls gave up 6 hours in 500m later on getting even one life roll

sometime rng just falls like that. thats how some people on their first tormented run got 2 ubers dropped and others it takes them 50 tormented bosses to get 1.
rng shouldnt ever fail that badly.

actually it is possible. just because something is unlikely doesnt make it impossible. could have only had a .5% chance to roll wrong that many times, still within the realm of possibility that it happens. its unlucky
well i spent 20 hours trying masterwork good stats over the last few weeks and didnt get far so i gave up. feels stacked badly to me instead of 1 in 4 chance

This is such a low effort argument.
You can literally, with no evidence to the contrary, state “oh hey anything’s possible, bad luck sorry”.
But regardless if that’s somehow true, spending a billion freaking gold, which by the way, at 20 Mil per hour roughly farming whispers, that’s FIFTY HOURS of gold farming.
So if that’s the case the system is still so piss poorly designed it needs a change.

lets try and get a tempering fix first but I agree with you. Im just on the forums looking for copium that isnt coming. taking a break from the game because of such horrible rng on tempering and masterwork

It can if its random.
With a 25% chance the likelyhood it taking a full 10 rolls to the crit on the desired affix on the 4/4 MW is about 1 in 20000.
You where unlucky. 1 in 20000 isn’t getting struck by lightning odds or winning the lotto odds. Its just bad luck.
But in general with enough attempts streaks like this will occur regularly… to someone… this time it was you.
On a 4 affix unique the chance to get the crit all three times on a specific affix is 1 in 64. (1 desired outcome from 4^3 possibilites).
You could expect to spend about 320M in resets. But thats just going to be the average for the whole player base.
Some people will get lucky, others unlucky. If you get it in under 64 attempts you are lucky. If you get it in over 64 attempts… unlucky.
I have no idea if the 4 affixes are equally weighted. You would want a decent sample size to begin talking about this. I’d say at least 128 full 12/12 tempers and see what the distribution is. So about 1536 masterworkings.
you sounds like you work for a casino… of course it can happen but when it happens to every person i know the house is winning too much to not feel rigged

By the rules of true random it can definitely “fail” that badly. Whether D4 uses true random (which is super hard for computers) or not is up for debate.

its not true random though. out of 300 plus rerolls to not hit the one in 4 stats i was going for one time says its not random.

Do you even play the game? Is 150m too much gold for you? Playing the game alone you can make 1 billion in 3 days even faster. Selling raw stuff to vendors and Tree quest, you deserve all that bad luck given that you are unable to grasp even the basics of this d tier game.
