Surprised at the cost. Thought it was much higher the way everyone has been complaining about materials.

The people complaining about the costs are trying to get triple crits on multiple pieces of gear so of course they are having to do it dozens and dozens of times. I don’t feel they have a valid complaint. You want the ultimate gear gotta do the work.

Reseting has a cost. If you are trying to triple crit. you will reset multiple times, spending not only mats for the upgrade but also a lot on reset.
This is not a problem for casuals that masterwork their already capped stats and feel good about it.

Yeah, I did my own table like that, for obducite tracking, it’s my only bottleneck (due to my playstyle/preference) but the rest of the information is useful. Thanks.

Are they trying to triple crit every piece of gear? I’ve reset key build items for two characters and haven’t hit a shortage yet. Guess I’ve been lucky?

I burnt through about 50k rawhide and maybe 30-40k obducite trying to triple crit on my pants yesterday. They wouldn’t even double crit, not once. They’re cursed pants.

not even triple critting. I’m just trying to crit my best stat on first try, then carry on from there, whatever happens.

It’s still ridiculously expensive. Tried to get max life on my chest, and in 12 tries i got 9 Damage on next attack and 3 resource gen. The best stats for me are max life and all stats. In 12 tries didn’t hit either once. That’s 11 resets and MW again.

Finally got the max life and I let it ride to 8. Of course I got the damage on next attack. arghh.

Figured, ok let it ride, i was about out of obdacite at this point, so I was hoping for life or all stats.

NOPE! I got another Damage on next attack.

So out of 15 tries, I got 9 hits on a stat I didn’t want and 2 crits. But kept 2 of them because of no more mats. Don’t tell me they haven’t programmed the stats to be severely weighted to one stat.

I had the same issue with my gloves. I finally just kept what I got and haven’t had the mats to reset.

Yeah that is fair, but I also have dumped near 200-500m gold on one item just trying to get a triple critical stat hit. If it was not for trading items for gold, That would not be the easiest grind to obtain for one item. That is also just the gold cost, not all the other materials as well.

Min max means you triple crit your valuable stat in all pieces.
You are not lucky, you just haven’t played enough. That’s cool and I am not bragging about having more hours than you, but if you are not running out of mats you either don’t min max or you got triple crit all your pieces and also never swapped to an upgraded version of the same pieces.
I am 100% sure that the mat problems is only for players like me that chase the most optimal version of the build. But we exist and there should be either more Obducite or a cost reduction or a better masterworking system. The current one is for people that play casually and don’t care going around with 3 blue stats on their gear.
