Masterworking changes (apologies for wrong word)

I understand wanting some rng but this is punishing! Why not have the first temper be random then after that, it just automatically puts anymore levels into whatever the first one is and this would solve so MANY complaints about tempering! And just up the cost for levels 2 and 3!

I’m not…fully understanding what your saying…

I assume you’re talking about Masterwork ?

Personally not a fan of the whole thing, been vocal about it lately and I think it makes what’s bad even worse

Don’t like a feature like that which “blankets” the entire game tbh

P.S.

As for Tempering the manuals should be a single-asset drop (not a collection to reuse), been saying this for practically forever. Move “attempts” onto the manual itself (not on an item, don’t brick the item) but make every single manual a separate “item” to hunt for to get

It also improves the flexibility of the entire system, no longer manuals have to be “predefined”, can go in every which way

I see complaints about tempering all the time. Its the lack of understanding of what drops are and how tempering works to make it easier to get what you want.

Im all for removing tempering and making complete items drop again like in loot 1.0

Your items that drop are 3/5 trash. You dont know if its good until you complete the item. Maybe understanding the system will help curb your entitled feelings.

I don’t often post suggestions, but here’s one: add a rare new consumable drop that adds a property to an item. With that property, tempering would work like enchanting, but with the presented options coming from the manual used. Still some randomess, but 2 new options plus the option to hold on to the existing one every tempering attempt. Also, nice to have an interesting drop. I’d suggest the same rarity as scrolls of escape are now in HC mode: dropping everywhere but not very often.

You mean Masterworking?

If you’re talking about masterworking, then the game would be 1000000000 times more easier than it is…
:man_facepalming:

Now if you’re talking about tempering, i can’t really understand what you want…

Both tempering and masterworking are frustrating systems. But in my opinion, masterworking is much worse than tempering.

Click, click, click, click, check, click cancel, click reset, click confirm. Repeat. Hundreds of times. I’m clenching my fist just thinking about it.

Masterworking made me abandon this season.

humm, really???

Muscle memory. My hand has literally cramped up from hundreds of clicks while masterworking.

I dont agree with them being frustrating but mw especially is the only end game. There is no real loot hunt, nothing to get excited about.

End game is just farming obducite, fs and gold just to roll an oversimplified linear “crafting” system after spending 8 hours farming your 2-3ga items.

Yes… a good option would be very rare manuals with the affix at maximum, which would be consumed. We could still have uber manuals with GAs in the tempera affixes. It would be something else to pursue. I like that idea.

one of the reasons D4 is such a mediocre game, is that, despite being a seasonal game, the amount of RNG is stupid and excessive!!
I’ve bricked very valuable items thanks to tempering, and these good-for-nothing devs don’t move a finger to fix the issue…
is so tiresome to struggle to get good gear over and over over again season after season… this game is really annoying with all this NRG!!

No, it has nothing to do with RNG but everything being oversimplified dog water. You can make things so simple its not interesting. Thats where D4 is, its where D3 is.

Thats all blizzard can do… oversimplified garbage

Both should be removed this is not WoW and gear stats to be crafted on. I know that some of those Devs are rotated from each game and cannot seem to let go of other game design but out some in other games. Many players may see this because if I can a regular person and not even a streamer the Devs have no goal in making systems for a single game but rotate their brain.

all I know is that tempering is a CANCER, it is annoying, makes you farm, is time consuming thanks to all that ANNOYING AND DISGUSTING NRG. I really hate it… I don’t have time to farm all the DAMNED DAY and start another season… this BS has to end… nobody here is a kid on summer vacation… we have lives and responsibilities!!
no work = no season pass to pay… simple as that…
remove that garbage from the game… so sick and tired of it

Idk what kinda game you playing but between HC and SC S9 i must have tempered 3 dozen items. 1 and only 1 rolled suboptimal.

I do agree, go back to loot 1.0 and have complete items drop. Add more affixes and get rid of D4 oversimplifed itemization.

Its clear since S4 people reject the idea of having control over RNG to make it easier to get what they want.

the problem here is the NRG, if they let you choose the masterworkings you need, that would save a lot of time…
seasonal games are not meant to have that ridiculous ammount of NRG… all this struggle to end a season and start over… no wonder this game had lost so many players!!

MW is the entire end game loop. Drops have been increased to a point your fully geared in around 8-10 hours of hitting 60.

When they stripped the loot hunt away all thats left is an oversimplified upgrade system. If we just pick what you want the seasons done in 15 hours of start instead of 30. Now, maybe material like a spark could be used as an endgame crafting material to do what you suggested.

D4 lost a lot of players because its D3 trash. You can streamline and oversimply to the point its not fun because its a pointless mobile game. Thats how D4 plays right now. Everything is to linear.

i am wondering if we can put a hand on the blacksmith dude how many time has he been pass away ?, lol
