Massive FPS issues

Hey…hopefully someone can help. My PC meets all requirements, i run a RTX 3060. When i get into game my fps goes from 150 to 4 non stop. I tried to cap my fps to 60 but still drops to 4. This happens on High and Low settings. I tried all the possible ways to lower graphics but still does the same. Updated windows, drivers and even tried to set a global fps to 60. Still the same thing. It’s unplayable, constantly warping around. Checked internet speed, everything is fine there too. Help meeee

did you play the previous weekend? I’m experiencing stuttering with frame drops on a 4090, it was fine last weekend and very smooth but it might just be server lag causing it too, not saying it’s the same issue you are having necessarily.

Same thing happened last weekend :frowning: i was waiting for this one to try and mess with settings some more but nothing seems to work. My friend runs it on a laptop with lesser specs and is just fine

try lagofast, boosts fps

hmm that’s strange, might have to check if you have any background services running, what are your actual specs?

Are you using a laptop? I can only imagine the 3060 isn’t being activated to render the game… thus low fps.

Been also experiencing dropped frames and have been experiencing rubberbanding.

It’s not my internet nor my pc either.

Completely formatted the pc. Only thing on it is d4 beta lol. I have a Ryzen 5 3600x , 16 gig ram along with the gtx 3060

lower texture quality to medium. that did the trick for me.

Unfortunately no, it’s on the desktop pc. Ive checked multiple times, the pc is reading the 3060 and in game its set to the 3060 as well

I am currently playing on my old computer with a 1080 and everything works fine. On my new gaming computer with a 3060, it is utterly unplayable. Game runs out of memory in a few seconds. This game is very badly optimized at the moment.

there was an nvidia update recently, i think it enables dlss 3 on d4, i just did it and it seems to have fixed the fps drops on my end. Again, this game was flawless last weekend so some things were definitely tweaked.

As for your setup OP, I don’t think you should have issues, check the drivers as well and maybe enable/disable any gsync/freesync setups on the monitor and nvidia panel. When you play, monitor your CPU temps and usage vs GPU temps and usage and see which is used more, the 3060 should be running this game fine as it definitely runs way older hardware perfectly ok.

Tried, still the same. Something tells me it’s not the game. It seems as though as soon as i turn the game on, like the queue screen, in already using 85% of my gpu :sob:

I have the exact same problem. Has an average framerate of 110-120 fps, but the framerate drops down to 4 fps quite often and ruins the experience. I have tried everything and every driver is up to date and so on. Played both weekends. Other games run perfectly… I read somewhere that this issue was reported back in the closed end game beta, but nothing has been done about it.

I hope when the actual game comes out it will not be an issue. Would be pretty upset if i dropped $100 on a game i can’t play :frowning:

I really hope so too. I’m sure it’s a blizzard thing.

This is probably useless and unrelated, but I have noticed that while the game runs fine for me it does drop to single digit fps when it is not the active window. Like if I move my mouse to my 2nd monitor and do something on a web browser or discord. No other game does that.

Maybe see what settings you can change in fullscreen vs windowed vs windowed fullscreen if any of them behave differently.

My system is fine and I also have a 4090. I also have 64 GB of RAM. Maybe that’s your issue? The only thing that drops my frames are those close scenic moments or the in-engine cinematics. Otherwise my issues are server side (rubber banding, etc.).

Tried many different graphic settings ingame and nothing changes anything.

My computer uses max:
GPU: 6/8 GB MEMORY
RAM: 11/16 GB

When framedrop happens, both cpu and gpu usage drops a lot.

using 85% of gpu is better than cpu, it means you’re not really bottle necking
however, did you try to limit your frames on the nvidia driver itself?
