Managing Consumable Inventory

Given our limited space, what is the best way to manage consumables?

I was thinking of putting all the potions from all characters in the vault, have everyone carry their own sigils. I’m seeing I get more sigils than I use. Are we supposed to discard ones we don’t like? Is there a way to take like 3 tier 1s and make them a 2?

Generally your elixirs won’t go out of control if you are constantly drinking them. For sigils, identify a few modifiers or dungeons you don’t like, then scrap any sigil with them. Also scrap any sigil that is less than (your level - 51)

You can salvage sigils for dust, which you can then use to craft a new random one in a set range.

There are like 6-10 dungeons I save sigils for and scrap the rest, and that’s still more than I can usually run.

Some potions are pretty much useless (basically all resist elixirs,) some are craftable so not that important to save, and some are only found as drops (resource, lucky hit etc) so those are the only ones you should really save. The others you can probably just hold on to the one that benefits your build most and a stack for each monster type.

Thank you both! Didn’t realize that about scrapping them, we’ll have to figure out how to do that. The tiers we are doing are way under our level, so we’ll just plugging away and try to get the higher level drops.

Edit: Who do you go to to ‘scrap’ sigils?

Edit2: Oh, seems like those two tabs are locked for us. Do you have to make it to World Tier IV to use those tabs?

The occultist. You probably have a bunch of dust if you haven’t been using it, but you can also scrap sigils for more dust, then he gives you an option to craft sigils for dust from 1-10, 10-20, etc etc and you get a random one in that range. So you should be able to craft some sigils more appropriate to your level.

This really isn’t explained in the game anywhere and confused me initially also. You have to get a level 3 sigil first, which unlocks the ability. And getting your first level 3 is just random from running nightmare dungeons/doing whispers. You can do it in WT3, but can’t make sigils over 20 until WT4

Thanks! We’re going to go do a T3 now. We’re like 60, so I think we’re way over leveled for these. Starting late, but need to do the next highest and hope we get higher tier drops each time.

Yea that’s the nice thing about being able to craft them. Eventually I ended up with a ton of low level sigils I was never going to run, but you can dust them all and make higher level ones, and there’s no limit to how high you can craft once you hit WT4. At level 60 you could make a +100 sigil even (but you wouldn’t last long :P)

At WT4 sigils become “ancestral” btw and your number of revives goes down to 4 from 12 so you have to be a little more careful. And it’s also not super clear, but if you’re playing with someone else and they revive you, it doesn’t burn one of your revives. So waiting for the revive is often the play if you’re not solo and running through them

No WT3 and do the quest in kyvoshad but I think it requires a certain tier drop. I didn’t have it yesterday on alt until I crafted a higher tier on my main.

This was really helpful, thanks! We go the quest, we’re salving our little T1, T2s and we’re making some 6-10s now! We were really into getting world completion, and now kinda wish we had started mixing this in at 51, because we did many of these dungeons as part of completion. Live and learn. They’re pretty fun!
