Mana regeneration is so slow. Only get to cast a few spells before out of essence. Then running about avoiding mobs for the 20-30 sec it takes to refill. Got all the mana skill points I could find on the tree…bone spear/corpse explosion build.
Grim harvest passive
Consuming a Corpse generates 3/6/9 Essence.
Spamming summon skeletal’s skill
and Skeletal mages frost, first upgrade. it wont fill your bar super fast but it could be worth a try
They nerfed Grim Harvest to give only 6 essence back at the top end but it is still worth it. Just spam Skeleton Priest or Corpse Explosion and your essence issues go away. If you don’t want to use Skeltons or CE you are out of luck.

This doesn’t work with corpse tendrils btw - i assume it’s a bug…
tendrils does not consume the corpse.
