If you make Corpse Explosion’s damage mimic any core projectile skill (eg. Bone Spear, Blood Lance, Blight), we can scale the damage to be more useful in the engame. Any multipliers for core projectile skills would scale Corpse Explosion’s damage.
I’m not shure if this is what you are thinking about, but Cruor’s Embrace does something similar.
At the moment every core skill the necromancer has is doing its damage through a unique item and would otherwise do no damage.
Howl from Below has a 90 %x damage multi and a nice buff to corpse attack speed which is in cap 2 and will add up to other bonuses.
I think it will be possible to play corpse explosion in season 9 together with Shadowblight. It could be A-tier to B-tier.
Corpse Explosion needs to scale with Mob HP but it cannot since you spawn corpses out of thin air in D4. Is what it is.
I heard something about Corpse Explosion having Summon tag on next season but idk, maybe confused
Apparently HfB should have added the summoning tag to CE, but it was buged, and they fixed it for the next season.
Now Corpse Explosion has [Profane] tag when nothing works with this tag. I don’t know what dev is trying to do.
Where did you get this?
After the Dev update today I played a build that was showcasing gameplay in the stream. It’s Sever with Tendrils and Explosion. I was running Sacrilegious Soul Ring, and I felt like the Corpse Explosion procs were just eating up corpses I’d rather spend on Tendrils.
The build worked for Torment 3 which is the same as was showcasing.
With the buffs to Shadowblight keypassive, Infinimist seems to have a comeback, which triggers SB through Blighted CE. So it’s kind of a CE build, but your damage is comeing from SB.
