Not just that, but even if they were to do something like what the OP suggested, chances are we still probably wouldn’t even get the specific GA items we want in drops anyways, just maxed aspects after a while with a few keepers. Which is pretty much the bottom level of build progression in my mind.
I agree, but some overlap is still better than the current state
No thanks, playing “roach style”, always going to things below your level to ensure you kill all mobs and don’t die, seems boring and limiting for me personally. But I would agree that dying in Standard should be more punishing, losing more gold, durability or items, or having a vendetta mechanic where you have to kill the unit to recover your possessions. I’m down for that.
What problem would that solve? We would still have a lot of imbalance.
If you reduce the Paragon multipliers and make min-maxing more accessible in T4, there will be a greater variety of meta variants for each class. There are already many possible metas, but they are not accessible because they are highly gear-dependent, gear that you would never obtain in a thousand years at the current slot-machine drop rate.
It would be necessary to reduce many statistics. Not just the multipliers. The additive damage of 2000 should be reduced to 200, cut a zero. That way a 3GA item would make some sense. Today they provide a maximum of 3 to 5%. Many times not even that.
