Why isn’t Seeds of Hatred auto-pickable? It’s pretty much resource like gold.
The only effect to have it manually picked is to incite players to vie for it but seriously, it’s pvp area - if someone truly wants another’s, they can PK, auto pick or not.
nah fam, i like them like that keeps your fingers busy while im sneaking up from behind.
In case you haven’t participated in the fields of hatred often or at all during peak volume of contention - players are generally going for the boss for whispers and then who would get the shards when 2 or more players are killing the boss?
The shards aren’t personal loot.
I’ve seen non-blood marked people blood mark and try to kill me because they thought I was picking them up. I already have the cosmetics from pvp and the 3k per item gamble makes them not worth clicking to pick up so I leave them on the ground.
I frequent there for Seething Abom and fast Grim Favors too. Just don’t get it, it slows me down by like 1s to pick the lot and whizz out of there. I play sorc this season so teleport then horse would beat anyone in terms of getaway.
Or even Aberrant Cinders.
Sorc has the only good horse dismount attack (you can freeze with it)
While it does suck. The seeds aren’t that valuable to me personally. Hardcore fields of hatred was/is a ghost town so farming the fields pre-season provided an abundance.
The reason they aren’t auto-picked up is a technical reason I believe.
They are an item that is not personal loot. It is shared loot, something to compete over/has an element of contention.
The clicking competition between players is a fun part of the game when you kill Seething Abomination.
Also, I intentionally don’t want to pick up the seeds for 2 different reasons:
I assure you they acquire all the satisfaction they need from seeing your ghost.
I don’t even pick them up. When an altar is triggered I go looking for a fight. Not to take that persons’ shards.
