Make interface semi-transparent (as option)

On the bottom (the two bowls with life and resources and the skills as well as the map in the top right corner: Make them semi-transparent. At least as option for the player to chose.

We won’t because of console.

you think? i mean, im not an expert but i wouldnt know how such stuff couldnt be possible on consoles.

I hate to be that guy, but if other games can do it on console, no reason D4 can’t. Just a simple option to be able to move your UI around and alter it in various ways. We’re not adding mods here like in WoW, we just want the ability to move things around damn it! lol

FF14 is actually a really good example of this, you can alter it’s UI in so many ways, PC and console alike. Don’t know of any others off the top of my head because I typically don’t play on console, but I’m sure there are others.

But FF14 is a fully-fledged MMO designed from the ground-up to do exactly that. To ascribe such to D4 is laughable…

Just giving an example of a moveable UI, nothing more. Take it for what you want, I’m not saying D4 has to do everything that way, but it’s a moveable UI. They have the technology in their own game of WoW. I refuse to believe it’s because of consoles that we can’t have a moveable UI lol.

The entire UI needs to be made clickthrough before anything else first. And an option to turn tooltips off on the HUD would be grand.

I also refused to believe we couldn’t have more than 6 buttons due to console when D3 came out. Yet… here we are.

It was always some conspiracy theory when D3 launched about 6 buttons. Then console appeared and DING! That’s what it was designed for.

I’m not disagreeing that console makes things impossible. I’m just pointing out that console has been the design philosophy since D3. And if it’s easier to not do a thing due to console - we don’t get that thing.

This is just pure speculation by people who share the opinion that consoles limit D4 in anyway. Graphics are the only taxing thing with D4, and even those are fine on consoles.

The 6 button conspiracy was hilarious I will admit. Again speculation by the players, never publicly stated by Blizzard. We can come up with all the theories we want, doesn’t make them true, it’s just something else to blame the lack of hotkeys on.

Given what we’ve seen from the campfires and live streams, I would say it’s just the fact they never thought of it before shipping the game out. They had a working UI with limited options, it was good enough at the time, and there was no reason to allow more options. If it aint broke, don’t fix it.

Almost every QoL feature has been an afterthought for them. ā€œOh we should add that to the game, that’s a good idea.ā€ No kidding, it was in your previous games and your ā€˜competition’. It’s obvious they just wanted to get the product out, so now we have to remind them of QoL features among other things.

Lost Ark has my favorite UI where you can assign position and transparency of each item…unless I am thinking of some other game. :hamster:

Let me guess, playing on OLED monitor?

Thing is console and controller based ARPG has way more action buttons than 6. Through combos buttons. Likt LT / RT + AXYB. Thats potentially 8 more commands.

Catering to console just an excuse. After all, their designers dies on wt1 with a lvl 50 hota barb presses nothing but lungering strike.
