Shouldnt higher pit tiers be more consistently dropping stingy stones and from a certain point onward (pit lvl80+ or something) have increased chances to drop GA legendaries?
Like maybe from lvl60 onward increased chances to legendaries with at least one GA.
from lvl 80 and upward increased chance to get 2GAs
from lvl100 and upward increased chances to get 3 GAs
Now you just do pits for masterworking, but just killing the helltide boss gives way more loot. To me this feels weird. Afterall helltide is super easy, in fact you can even be semi afk as there is a ton of ppl anyways. Where as pit is beyond easy till the boss, then you actually need to work and you need to have your gear and build in order.
However 9 out of 10 times even at lvl10 all i get is normal legendaries and stingy stones drop hardly. Feels super unrewarding.
The pit was designed for masterworking tho stones are to rare imo and should be adjusted in higher tiers.
Its nice not being pigon held to 1 task and if they ramped up 3ga in pits you would have even more that people cant do the pit and how its “unfair” blah blah blah.
In general in higher content you get here magic find, its the same between world tiers. When you work harder it should be made rewarding what else is the point.
You dont need masterworking to kill normal duriel, who drops the ubers most ppl want.
Killing tormented bosses is not rewarding at all. So if they want players to spend more time in season stuff needs to be rewarding and progression should be possible in various stages.
I killed 21 and got 8 ubers so I disagree with you on this one.
Normal duriel/andy is not efficient and not worth the time.
But I would argue the increased madterworking mats is the reward. Your able to roll on more and faster. Masterworking holds the most power/progression in the game.
I would like to see a return of D2 MF system but that is apparently unpopular
Everything you is just yoru experience but its based on RNG.
I have done over 50 uber kills and havent gotten a single uber yet. yet farming the mats still takes a ton of time and even that is inconsistent in the way the tormeted varshan doesnt give more eggs for example then a normal one.
Even so, since you get ubers from normal duriel where you need masterworking to achieve it, there is really no need to really do pits, unless you really want to push urself for whatever reason in the pits…
the point of pit is to run it after you find your bis gear to perfect. so adjustment to gear rewards i dont see the need. stygian stone drop rate definitely needs an increase and i wouldnt mind a masterworking mats increase either
Not in S4. I cant even use the mats fast enough but Im not doing greater rifts till my eyes bleed. Beyond that the pit is for when your upgrading your gear it was never designed to be the place to find BIS. So if your loot hunting the pit isnt the most optimal place to do that. S4 doesnt confine you to 1 activity. Each place has a purpose.
Yes Ive been lucky this season but 5x the chance vs 1x is simple math. It also consumes less mats but again stones should be increaed.
only i would say a slight more “reasonable” drop rate due to many unable to get past pit60
Tier 1-30 (that rewards Obducite) should also drop 1GAs (like 20 % the rewards that drop are GA’d)
Tier 31-60 (that rewards Ingolith) should also drop 2GAs (Like 30 % the rewards that drop are 1GA’d | Like 20 % the rewards that drop are 2GA’d)
Tier 61+ (that rewards Neathiron) should also drop 3GAs (Like 40 % the rewards that drop are 1GA’d | Like 30 % the rewards that drop are 2GA’d | Like a 20 % the rewards that drop are 3GA’d)
after 80+ all Neathiron drops are doubled from current amount. another +10 % chance to GA’ droppin system as described above
after 100+ again Triple current amount of Neathiron drop. and another 10 % capped out increase
the reason for this being that we need to “constantly” get new items we “brick” and try again. only it gets tiring to run more and more pits to get materials to raise it from masterwork 1-4 and 5-8 that we need more Neath drops or higher amounts
But your stating your luck this season as facts. I am happy for you, but just because ur super lucky doesnt make it so that everyone has the same experience.
In addition to a ton of tormented Andariel and Duriel runs i have also done over 80+ normal duriel runs and havent gotten anything there either.
I honestly doubt anyone even got the perfect 3GA with the best tempering rolls on all their gear slot yet. You should certainly not wait for that to start the pit.
Pit is not for loot but for masterworking resources that you cannot get from any other place in a game. It is definitely not need to be all in one masterworking and great loot …
It’s unpopular because it is a complete disaster long-term in every game that does it. It has been one of the bigger complaints over on POE for the longest time now.
No because of it. It was an addictive stat and D2 was a massive slot machine. Mind you the game was at its best 1.08-1.09 before runeword power creep came in.
mat, gold, gear or just cosmictics. sth to justify the time for high level pit.
It took me almost twice more time to do level 110 va 100…but only 10 more mats. Another annoying things is, with gear update, I get to kill the mob and boss much faster, but do not see significant reduction in clear time, because getting the good map is more important…
