Make A Pit Safe Room

When you kill a pit boss have a portal spawn over it’s body that takes you to the glyph upgrade room. In that room, circular, on the left have a stash, on the right have a smithing anvil, in the center have the glyph upgrader, and on the far side of the room have two portals and the Pit Obelisk.

Upper Left: Obelisk works as normal to select a floor.

Upper Middle: Portal that takes you to the next floor.

Upper Right: Portal that takes you to your max cleared floor.

This improves game flow substantially by not having to go back to town to go back into the pit and needlessly interact with the selection screen.

If a pit run is failed due to timer treat it like an Undercity run and kick the player out.

I mean an extra loading screen would definitely drive up those engagement numbers! :joy:

Not necessarily against QoL/improvements but in this particular case I don’t see the impact tbh. Just bring back the bubble and all ok

The best and most simplest solution would be to just bring back the bubble.

I quit this season before even doing the Pit. Why would they remove the bubble? That makes no sense.

Because of warplan nodes and ways you could safely kill revived monsters, so isntead of turning off/working with the warplan nodes, they decided to just remove the bubble that rippled a negative gameplay experience for hardcore players, like such backwards approach to a problem.

Weird. I just mentioned in another thread it seems like the way to fix the problem would’ve been to have the monsters despawn in the entire Pit like they do in D3’s greater rifts and change the warplan tree, not just removing the bubble and wasting people’s times trying to upgrade glyphs and getting attacked.

they need to.bring back protectipn sphere after killing boss, now somtimes xan npt update gliphs because a mob with 100x more life than Pit bos spaen…

The loading screen would be similar to a Horadric Vault which is small while also being contact based which is smoother. It takes far less time than loading into town after teleporting out of the pit to interact with the obelisk to load into the pit.

I actually don’t care about the bubble. It solves the bubble problem but it is not about the bubble for me, it’s about the flow of the activity, which blows.

What is this gibberish, lol?

He says they need the bubble back, as sometimes you can’t update glyphs because a mob with crazy HP will spawn.

Another vote for the bubble return.

While we’re at it, what is the f’ing point of getting revived some distance from where you are killed in the pit if the guardian is just going to immediately spawn on top of you again? Some classes need some preparation, like barbarian to generate fury or druid to increase ferocity for lightning storms for example.

What is so infuriating is that no one asked for any changes to the pit bubble or how the pit boss spawns, yet someone at D4 decides either to change it or is so incompetent that it’s a knock-on effect of some other intended change they made—all the while ignoring most of the requested changes/bug fixes by players.

Adding onto this.. add a matchmaking system for tower/pit. Takes current rank, paragon, gear into the factor along with chosen depth of tower/pit. Cause I don’t wanna have leeches making my pit 145-150 runs harder than needed.

Every time i make a LFG in the in game, always people below 125 paragon lmao.

cool ideas. sounds too complicated. just use a simple hotfix now and bring back the bubble. easy. don’t wait for next season. it’s either a bug or just laziness.

EDIT: Plus, we don’t have time to teleport to another area to get our glyph upgrades. That’s a waste of time. What if the game boots you out because the servers suck? Or you have lag?

(Also, like in my fave Mel Brooks movie Young Frankenstein- “Put. The Bubble. BACK!”)

They removed it because people were somehow abusing it. Instead of fixing the issue, they just remove it and say gg kid.

Well, whatever the issue is, it isn’t simple enough for them to have fixed in three or four weeks now…

Fair!

Though I imagine the 10 second difference wouldn’t be the saving grace but then again stranger things and whatnot.

That D4 was defeated by a securing a bubble so it can be exploited along with the portal for nemesis is just a facepalm moment for them.

I m not a fan of this solution either. Lets just have all monsters despawn on boss kill.

You are still going into a portal and loading a new area though so its not an improvement.

They will bring it back, but probably make: the bubble itself, the upgrader, and pedestal , merchant . .. all spread apart and very hard to see .. and will get stuck on the wall occasioanlly

Bring back the safety bubble would be good enough. Fed-up being bothered by mobs that appears out of no where (especially Subo who tends to shoot at anything on sight and bringing the whole bunch of mobs on you). But a blacksmith anvil would be a great addition - but kind of weird to have an anvil in the middle of a dungeon.
