I predict the maintenance patch will be mostly server-side fixes, minor bug fixes, and performance optimizations. There won’t be any balance changes, new items, or anything like that added with this week’s maintenance. And I predict this will cause another large wave of “I quit” and/or anti-Blizzard rage threads (worse than we have now).

I know, isn’t it juicy? We get front row seats to witness everyone’s enormous disappointment that they’re literally setting themselves up for.

I honestly have the same feelings. I doubt they will release anything meaningful for the players. The game is already boring enough towards later stages, people who expect the big patch today will be really disappointed.

I kinda agree, having too high expectations is really toxic for oneself.
They really should not announce like an 18 hr maintance or whatever it is… unless they plan to deploy the patch…

I’m sure it will be a patch, it just won’t be the patch anyone is hoping for. Keep in mind they’ve also been battling against DDoS attacks for the past few days… that could require a lengthy maintenance as well.
Tweet also said the big patch was “very very soon”
They’d be evil if they said that but meant “In around 7-10 days”

I hope I’m wrong, seriously, I do. But man, imagine if I’m not wrong and I was sitting around expecting the patch to be announced today, how bad that would feel? I think I’ll stick with it’s not coming this patch.

I speculate the release in the first week of July for the big patch
To be fair, I will on vacation in that timeframe. So I don’t mind.
I like to delude myself that there will be a patch tomorrow, it helps me play less today.
Honestly I would be happy if they’d fix what ever has been causing me to hard crash every hour or so on my Steam Deck; first couple weeks I had no problems at all but for the last week after an hour the game suddenly chugs and outright dies resulting in the need for a hard reboot if I don’t quit out in time.
I get the feeling it might be a ram leak, but I’ve heard mixed reports on it.
Where do they actually post announcements?
When Blizzard talks about time, they’re speaking cosmologically. They’d describe our sun going nova as “any day now”.
