Due to the lack of PTR notes, uninteresting seasonal events, and the absence of new unique and mythical being turned into a kind of lottery or betting system, it leads me to believe that the game is really over, right?

The core loop of the genre is gambling and the excitement that comes from getting something rare. I can imagine many ways to improve on the mythic tier item system, but I don’t see how that’s a killer of the game.

Its 2 weeks in the season w/o Superior Lair Keys dropping from the deathtoll chamber. I mean that says a lot… not that the game is dead ofc, but the lack of getting a hotfix running quickly is abysmal.

That’s the problem. It’s week 2 of the first major season after the newly released expansion. S13 was just the base expansion.
Instead of maintaining momentum or being productive, S14 squandered an opportunity. Full of bugs, half baked ideas, and lack of communication. Very perplexing stuff.
Maintenance mode would’ve probably been more enjoyable than this season…
it would’ve been an older popular season like Witchcraft, Chaos, Blood, etc but with Temas and the other DLC mechanics

Sounds like status quo for literally every season we’ve had. Not saying it’s right, but the sad part is, we’ve all come to expect it by this point.
Ultimately, I think your’re right.
However, that’s not gonna change the amount of backlash that Blizz will get for going from a fairly well received expansion to a crap season that signals a complete lack of effort.

Agreed, nor should it. Although I think that’s apparent every season. They go hand in hand at this point.
