Howdy!

This type of error can also occur if a conflict like an Access Violation occurs. Try playing again with all background programs disabled following the steps Here, restart the PC and retest.

If issues continue, check out our crash support article Here. After that note, this is a beta and its certainly possible a bug might be occurring. Make sure to bug report this issue over on the bug report forums.

Thank you.

I also got an OOM and CTD, with 32G of RAM. Very few background programs running.

Exactly the same for me.

Happened to me three times so far, your game has a problem.

This isn’t the magical “it only happens with our program out of hundreds but it can’t possibly be at fault, have you tried turning it off and on again”

Sent an image to a few friends. Diablo 4 is chewing down RAM. I got a screenshot of 20GB being used, made cutscenes and game really choppy before the big DC wave. Although these forums aren’t allowing me to “add link” in the form of a image. Just pop open task manager to watch how much gets used.

Yea I was watching while I played it kept going up and up. BUT it is probably just an extremely niche, rare problem on our end. I hate the canned tech support replies.

Task Manager is one thing, if you look at Resource Monitor you will see the Commited memory is higher than what you see in Task Manager. While committed isn’t quite the same as in use it is an important number.

was mid cinematic here, and caught two “diablo iv has run out of memory” errors crashed pretty hard, and had to reboot. now with an hour long queue, and reports of it happening multiple times - i cant WAIT to get back in! woo.

In my case I was monitoring the ram through NZXT Cam.

Same here, 2 crashes, first one after first boss while in party, requeue was about 6 minutes, second one solo, was messing around with settings, 3080, 40% gpu usage at max settings, but VRAM was 10/10GB even in menu, normal RAM was showing 10gb / 32GB but that never registers fully in monitoring applications. Crash messed up all my other software…now in 100minute queue.

This definitely looks like a memory leak, they need to fix this asap.

2 out of memory crashes with 32 GB of Ram and then 90 minute queue, welp needs fixed ASAP

they should just give the beta rewards to everyone if we can’t even play the game due to those issues, and every error we have to wait 90+ minutes in queue…

The fact that there is no grace period for crashes is absurd. At this rate I won’t even be able to play the beta which is the only reason I spent the extra money.

lol automated reply who would have guessed

Ryzen 3600x
16bg Ram
Rtx2080
Nvme ssd 1tb.
When I log in the game It IMMEDIATELLY crashes. It is the 4th time that I’m waiting and I didn’t even get the chance to create a single character. So dissappointed, it’s so unfair, I have no words really.

I got this from event viewer:
Windows has successfully diagnosed that virtual memory is low. Programs that use the most virtual memory: Diablo IV.exe (15580) used 30526304256 bytes

I’ve been getting Video Memory Management internal blue screen and the same out of memory stuff. I have 128gbs of ram and 12gb GPU so i know it shouldn’t be happening.

To all, who have the Problem with the Memory Runout, i reduce all Graphicfeatures, this solve the Problem and the Memoryusage from my Graphiccard goes from round 6GB to 2 GB.

Which settings should I reduce?
