Been in 56-61 minute queue for over 2 hours.
Friend can boot game up normally and join in instantly
Worst game Iâve ever bought for so much money and then couldnât play.
Just following up here, 100% works with VPN to USA.
Spent 3-4 hours waiting for the queue and just watching it either stay in place or increase. Tried with Private internet access to Vermont and been playing now for 30 minutes like this.

EDIT: @Blizzard itâs still absolute BS that this is happening⌠Esp since youâve had 3 betas and early release for ultimate clients. There is no way you can deem this acceptable under any circumstance but at least thereâs a workaround for us as players.

I am asking here for those who found success using a VPN.
Does the issue return if you disable the VPN?
Started happening after a DC, restarted the game, logged in got the queue, it wasnât moving, tried a few locations in europe with vpn all get the queue.
Swapped to US East, got in right away no queue, got into game, killed my vpn, tried to login, the unmoving queue was back.
Yes, it continues even if logging in after use of VPN.
Steps I tried:
- Completely close battlenet app.
- Open VPN and connect to USA
- Reopen Battlenet app
- Launch Diablo IV
- Select Character
- Enter world
- TP back to city
- Logout
- Close Battlenet App
- Disconnect from VPN
- Reopen Battlenet app
- Get stuck in queue
- Completely close battlenet app again
- Open VPN and connect to USA
- Reopen Battlenet app
- Launch Diablo IV
- Select Character
- Enter world
- Play without issue
Sadly yes, i tried playing with vpn from usa and japan game loaded normally but its really high latency so i cant play. and when i went back on my connection i was sent to 58 minute queue
same to me i dc from the game since then i m in queue for 40 mins
can confirm that too.

Ok thanks for the replies everyone, I have passed that information on. Feel free to also submit the requested information for the European thread I linked earlier.
If a VPN works and is playable latency, you can continue to use it but just note we do not have any support for getting a vpn to work, and for console users unless your modem/router has an option for a vpn built in you will have to continue to hang tight. Also be aware the some countries may have restrictions on VPNs so check your countries laws on that. I donât want to see anyone run into any issues by using one.
I cannot promise any further updates today from me as I will be out of office soon but if I get them I will post them before I leave.
Will the devs continue to work on it and deploy a fix that wont actually downgrade the que one min at a time or they just:
âLets deploy this and get back to it the next morningâ?

I am having this issue with my ps5. My husband is logging in just fine, but I am stuck in queue. I have restarted the game, my ps5 & even rebooted the internet modem to no avail.
Happened to me earlier today about 12 hours ago. Iâm in a queue for about 20 seconds then goes straight to a blank character screen. Then it pops âreconnectingâ, character visible, then game crashes. I finally got on after trying for 30 minutes.
Fast forward to now, the same issue is happening. Been trying to log in for 40 minutes now and the game keeps crashing. Incredibly frustrated.
