Hey all,
This freeze when loading menus seems to have several possible causes. Here are some things to keep in mind as these have helped others clear up freezing issues.
- Make sure the game is installed on a fast SSD that has at least 10% free space. Run Hard Drive Tests to check for any drive errors and make sure the SSD is optimized. Using a traditional spinning harddrive (HDD) is not supported or recommended
- If you did not originally install the game with High-Resolution Assets try installing that data and then test the game again. In the Battle.net app go to Options → Modify Install then tick the box for High-Resolution Assets.
- Connectivity issues between the client and server may cause stalls when opening menus. If you’re using a wi-fi connection try switching to a wired connection and test again. Sometimes ISP issues along the route to the servers may cause problems, using a different connection like a mobile data hotspot or a VPN temporarily may help until the connection clears up.
