Glad to see you found a solution. I had the same issue and formating, reinstalling windows + updates, downloading 84 gigs sounded like the worst fix ever. Will reinstall my blizz app after d4 beta download is done and see if that helps. Thx for your update

I uninstalled battle.net and re-installed. It searched for all existing games and D4 beta(did not re-install) works now

You could check if you have some compatibility mode settings with an older windows version in place.

I have the latest windows 10 version (21H2, build 19044.2728) and getting the same error so not really on us. Also reinstalling battlenet did not fix it for me

If the issue is still occurring after you reinstall the Battle.net Deskot app. It’s important to troubleshoot:

  • Run Windows updates, check optional updates, and ensure they are installed.
  • Update all system drivers such as graphics, chipset, sound, and networking. We offer a support article on how to do this Here

Though this error talks about Windows 10, Windows 11 is fully supported, but all must be on the latest Windows version. I see a few posts above with older Windows 11 builds that won’t be able to play the game unless they are updated.

FYI, mine was fixed by updating to Windows 10 21H2 19044.2728. I was originally on 1909. I did not reinstall Battle net or D4 beta. Two reboots and it worked.

So, just to confirm, Windows 10 1809 LTSC will never be supported. Even at launch?
