Main stat buffing? Really?

Let’s all pray this is a stop gap/band-aid until VoH and that it brings a new system to the game that will work.

Now I’ve had numerous Sorcs s4 (and many many more in prior seasons) and done at least one of each class (several barbs). Druids and necros should get crazy numbers (not all builds but 1 or 2 each). Since they have ways of dipping and double dipping into certain synergies (Druid with poison s3 iirc, necro shadow blight s4 again iirc). Whether bug or not rogues,druids, and necros can dip into scaling and sorc just gets a higher multiplier may be nerfed before midseason with this.

Sorcs

  1. Raw Power - Don’t get me wrong I like most players like power especially after the past 4 seasons(and launch):rofl:. The problem is that getting more power with no synergy is just an increase with no scaling. The all over changes showing about glyphs and legendary nodes seems like they actually thought about adjustments to the new system. Now if any (if at all) synergies are introduced then this power will creep dramatically and end up getting uber nerfed like barbs (s1 and now). We will see how this rolls out with actual s5 update and VoH.

  2. One shot - Unless there’s changes in the works the highest I could max out a sorc was 2500 intelligence (probably could’ve gotten more) before masterworking which left me with 12k max life. There was mention of defensive buffs but limited life doesn’t leave much for survival.

  3. Synergy - The sorc class is the only one without true synergy. Yea a fire build can chill and get another multiplier. A lightning build can burn and get that benefit. That’s all a sorc can do is dip into another elements/elements abilities to get a few multiplicative or additive damage. True synergies would be frost skill deals x% damage to monsters affected by burning skill or pyro skill is now a shock skill so you could use crackiling energy and unstable currents. Shock skills deal x% damage to monsters affected by blizzard or frost skills deal x% damage to monsters affected by firewall are another. If these are implemented in this main stat buff system you could expectedly scale damage way up. Similar to what rogue has done with victimize and Barb has done iirc.

All in all the best way I see how is yes add aspects to other classes. Doesn’t need to be weapons just something else to give the aspect slot. Also since the devs idea of endgame builds is to have a minimum of 2 uniques per build (not including Ubers/mythics) it would make it where some builds can be fleshed out properly. The r the other is having blank weapons for rogues and barbs so they only get aspects and affixes from 2 one- based weapons or 1 two-handed weapon. Either way it solves the issue and gives a base.

Also the there’s been a year of metrics and this is the only way they’ve figured out to “balance” the game. Seriously???
