With the new Apple Game Porting Kit, I can already run the game at High settings, 70fps. That is with the translation layers for x86 to arm, windows to macOS and directx12 to Metal.
Other games have proven that a native game would perform about twice as fast. I think this means a basic M1 could be playable. Which means a fanless MacBook Air could run the game if there were a native client.
Please port this game to Mac silicon, so I can play on the go, without the translation layers and even save some battery!
Great to hear!
Greetings from Linux gamer here, proudly playing on foreign & unsupported architecture since beta. I don’t need Blizzard supporting my architecture, because translation layer works so well, that I may argue my experience is better than many if not most of Windows players! Especially after reading threads here with lags, crashed, BSODs, power offs, stuttering and so on. Hopefully yours will become stable and performant too.
Question for you, Proxy. Did you find a way to get the performance monitor on the top-right to go away? Playing on an M2 MacBook Air and it is directly over the minimap (which we can’t move)
