Lucky Hit needs streamlining

Lucky Hit shouldn’t be a % chance to be a “Lucky Hit”, and then another % chance under that for each individual effect. Some options:

  • Lucky Hit is a universal % chance, and if it happens, everything procs

  • Lucky Hit is removed entirely, and effects just have a base % chance to happen on ANY hit

  • The Lucky Hit stat is added on to the % chance for proc effects to happen, instead of being another dice roll they have to get through.

Yes it should. This has always existed, just under the hood and referred to as a “proc coefficient”. This has always been a hidden mechanic because it is confusing and difficult to understand for the vast majority of people.

Case in point, they have made it public this time with a different name and look at this post you just made.

What you probably don’t realize is that every ability has its own lucky hit chance. For example, Shadow Step has a 100% lucky hit chance, and Twisting Blades has a 30% lucky hit chance, both of which are further boosted by your base lucky hit chance.

You need to enable advanced tooltips for the hidden ability-specific lucky hit chance.

They aren’t talking about removing lucky hit. They’re talking about how the information is conveyed to the player in the game.

There is no reason something doesn’t just say chance to proc is x%. Instead they want you to do math to it out yourself. It’s an unnecessary step in giving information to the player.

It should just be a one step process to know what the proc chance. We’re using computers after all. It could just tell us straight up rather than making the player do the math.

No, because lucky hit is a more detailed and accurate representation of the proc chance.

“25% chance” is meaningless and misleading when proc coefficients are hidden under the hood. Lucky Hit chance at least shows you the full information for each ability.

The only thing they SHOULD do is make the lucky hit chance for each ability visible by default and not hidden within the advanced tooltips.
