I’m getting low fps, stuttering and rubberbanding. I’ve tried many of the fixes recommended but don’t seem to be able to fix it. It’s a gaming laptop but I can generally play ER, Sekiro, etc on high or even ultra. With D4 even when I drop to medium/low I get exactly the same low fps. My system isn’t even heating up, it’s just stay low.
So it’s something else… any thoughts?
Here is a snapshot of my overlay on high:
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (laptop)
AMD Ryzen 5900HS
16gb RAM
FPS: 21
99% FPS: 14
Render Latency: 10.9ms
CPU Utilization: 60%
GPU Utilization: 31%
How’s you laptops cooling as your CPU and GPU aren’t being used all that heavily looking at those stats, wondering if the laptop is throttling stuff because it’s over heating.
What settings are you using?
I’m running on a GTX970 your card should perform better in every way according to a bench mark comparison site I use. I’ve throttled back to max 60 FPS to stop revving my fans so high, turned on Vsync and 99% of my frames are > 59 FPS. I didn’t check the unthrottled frame rate but I think it was higher.
So something is wrong. Unless you have some settings set that your card can’t handle, or the laptop is throttling your hardware down for some reason, (like as someone else says you on battery) or maybe there is a heat build up issue.
What settings do you run with? And what resolution. Generally with the max frames set to 60FPS my GPU runs at about 75% according to the nvida overlay and my CPU 40 to 60%
Do you have the latest drivers?
Your render latency is virtually the same as mine, so rendering a frame takes a similar time.
