Love how half the game doesn't work but the shop is prio on the list!

It absolutely floored me when I logged on yesterday to see the banner for the update to the shop! What an absolute joke and what a way to show every single player where your true priorities lie. Half the game is broken with bugs, cheating, exploits, lag, crashes and the list goes on and on and on but you guys sure as hell made sure the shop check out and new skins were working right? The best part of all you did this RIGHT AFTER you disabled trading game wide because of how broken it is! Sad Blizzard, way to show some couth.

surely people making the shop are the one making the balance, the dungeon and everything else in the game. surely its because of them the game sucks

Surely it is absolutely a part of the problem.

I said this yesterday, But the shop is probably managed and run by a completely different department.

Apparently shop proceeds only fund future shop work.

Not to discount any of the areas that need fixing and improvement, but it’s just a splash page. It likely took no time at all to put together.

I think some people miss the point of the OP. While the shop and skins are designed by people not involved in other parts of the game… it’s bad optics to shove more micro transactions down people’s throats who feel like the game is all jacked up.

And the new skins, guess that took no time as well? Or the " * Various other miscellaneous fixes to Shop Cosmetics." as stated in the patch notes.

I can’t know for a fact, but it’s very unlikely that the dev team working on bugs and fixes is the same team working on shop cosmetics. For all we know these skins have already been made. They probably have a trove of different cosmetics already done.

I’d ask if you were new here but you’ve already got 289 posts…

You have missed exactly what the issue is about this. Check out the following post.

Lol are you a human being? Can you not see how this would be frustrating in a game we already paid $70+ for

Like I said originally, it’s a simple splash page advising you of the update to the shop, you close it out and go along with your gaming if it’s of no interest to you. It’s not being shoved down anyone’s throat.

How many splash oages does BG3 have!?
Jk
But again you have to see how this “simple” splash page can be frustrating to players who feelnunsastisfued with the game

indirectly yes. Management has limited budget, instead of hiring better devs they hired better artists.

There are limited solutions architects, instead of designing a better game their time is allocated to ensuring cosmetics can be added seamlessly by artists and players have the smoothest and most friction-less payment experience.

And so how exactly does this improve the game or fix the issues? It does nothing but line their pockets, period.

It doesn’t matter. Their resources are finite. Any resources they’re spending on more microtransactions (which are so expensive you can barely call them “micro”) should be spent on fixing the actual game.\

Moreover, when your game is fundamentally broken in so many areas, that is not the time to shove your cash shop in the faces on your players.

Maybe they should be using their art team to design glyphs that look different, or icons for items that look different from each other so our inventories don’t look the same 3 items when full of different items.

I dunno, there must be something the art team can help out with. They work on the game don’t they?
