Lost a hardcore character due to a crash

In the middle of combat, my character stopped moving, stopped accepting inputs, etc but the audio, graphics were not frozen. Then the game crashed and when I restarted the game I had a message saying that my character was died… Is there any possible way that support could roll this back? I am extremely frustrated with losing a max level hardcore character that had almost 100% of content explored, and honestly might just not pick this game up again if there is not a way for me to get this character back…

Character Name: Minty
Level 25
Title: Legendary Braggart

Can I please have support contact me back and let me know if there is any possible solution to this???

That character is literally getting deleted in hours along with everyone else’s characters and progression because this is a weekend beta test…

And hardcore deaths from crashes/disconnects have been a thing since the creation of hardcore mode in ARPGs.

No characters are being deleted and all characters from this early beta will still be available in the beta next weekend, they will be deleted after that beta though.

Wrong answers above.

Here is the correct answer for your question since this answer will also teach you a lesson.

When playing hardcore you lose your character when it dies. Doesn’t matter if it was your cat or neighbour that hacked your account and died. If it’s dead, it’s dead!

So if you are sad about losing a character with 110% progression then I would suggest going soft core. It’s just as fun but it’s less adrenaline, but happier qmoments if you die from mistakes or game crashes

Ya I was not expecting them to keep everything for the open beta weekend but I guess I don’t have to go click on all the altars again at least and I’ll have a ton of reagents to make elixirs right away on friay.

What if, when playing in hardcore mode, players were labeled as “last standing” in-game. But here’s the twist: instead of losing their character permanently upon death, players would simply switch to softcore mode.

This would allow players to continue playing, but without the “last standing” recognition that hardcore mode is known for yet still inviting a bigger playerbase to the hardcore mode.

The most exciting aspect of this new game mode would be the addition of a “last standing” label only available to non killed players.

Find why you crashed, and fix it.

A crash is looked at by the servers just like a disconnect.

A disconnect can be manipulated, ie “switching” (manually terminating your connection) and clearly if they restored characters for a crash or disconnect could be and would be abused.

There is zero reason I can think of they will EVER restore a hc char. Even if the farm they are leasing from (google i think?) explodes.
