D4 needs to have a comprehensive vision of how they want the game to develop, and not change things piecemeal.
Season 4 Loot Reborn - most people would agree the changes made were welcomed and introduced tempering and masterworking, which meant that items and gear had a much more impactful way of playing the game. But what happened also trivialized much of the damage you would get from the paragon boards such that we would no longer want to max out the damage from a glyph but rather just get as many multiplicative bonuses as possible by trying to unlock the maximum number of legendary nodes and glyphs as possible - and all other nodes that gave additive bonuses were insignificant compared to the additive damage numbers we would get from gear.
Enter Season 6 - the roles are reversed now. Now we’re going to get so much % damage and additive damage bonuses from the paragon boards that affixes on gear will be insignificant again. So we don’t need to find good gear in season 6 and just level up the glyphs and we would be fine?
What’s the game plan? Is this a loot-based ARPG or not?
