Why are the devs so stubbornly against loot filter? Honest question. As a casual its not fun manually sorting 9000 drops to find the 12-15 i want.
I am sure they are thinking about it, it just isn’t #1 on the list atm.
The drops on the PTR were probably 10% of what they are on live. If it stays that way there will be no need for a loot filter. Not that there’s a need now. I get there is a want for one and maybe if it ever was implemented I’d actually use it. But it’s not a need.
Less about need and more about the desired outcome. If you see even less loot, but when you do see loot, you know it is what you want and it will be an upgrade, that really kicks the dopamine hits up.
So tormented bosses are no longer dropping 20+ items per kill? 5 tormented kills dropping 100+ items is an absolute chore
It would be a bit easier with some color coding for attributes text in stats. Like having them white if they are below %50 max, blue if beow %75 etc. So that you can see easily if the stat has a good roll or not.
This is exactly how it goes.
I think they recognized that we want a loot filter.
But when they have a priority list from 1 to 100 it’s most likely somewhere 90+
Because blizzards lunch canteen has awesome donuts which makes them forget to implement it.
But fear not my frustrated d4 brother because one day they serve artichoke muffins which will Spurr on the blizzard prestidigitators to conjure up a loot filter.
What I say is the law
For me it is a need. I’d prefer to take a bit of time to set up some filters that would save me loads of time in the long run of sorting through items I just want mark as junk and melt down. What a time saver it would be to vacuum up useless loot, have the filter auto-mark it as junk, salvage it quickly at the blacksmith, then look at the remaining stuff and decide from there.
If they make it with some inspiration from LE, then I am hoping they also allow us to save and share our filters with others.
