I am looking into switching towards a pc controller. Been using since forever a M+K setup but using a mouse is hurting my right arm and shoulder more and more as i get older.
Not really sure what good options might be as there is a ton of choice. So figured ill start here and see what other folks are using.
U just connect an Xbox controller man… Done
If you are buying one new I would suggest the ps5 controller.

i read that that the 4 buttons up front: abxy are often not reacting to pressing them, how is your experience? Do you also use the upgrade pack with the added pedals at the back?
Yes that seems obvious 
Also use xbox elite, works well.
I turned all the paddles off. No issues on input except on sorc teleports, but this happens very rarely now, compared to a year ago, and is related to a game z axis issue to my understanding, not the input method.
If anyone else can speak to this better though, pls add.
I have not had any problems with the buttons. I do use the pedals mostly for bringing up menus or other things that aren’t bound for controler
well makes sense and more buttons should also help with less switching to the keybaord which will be on my desk anyway.
Can you also attach macro’s to the buttons or is that not an option?

I rebound all my keys. Left hand is noting but abilites. Left mouse click is movment and interact. Spith the pain to both arms so one is not bored. Lol
I use an Xbox One controller. Seems to be the last gen of controllers that don’t suffer from joycon drift.
but now that you play on a controller surely the pain from mouse clicking is less or even gone? Else whats the point?
it depends on ur preference, if u want a more bulky heavier one go with xbox elite, if u want a lighter one take ps5. Both are great.
Personally i like lighter, and im used to be a ps player since forever. so its a no brainer for me, that i play with ps4/5.
I use an xbox elite 2 controller. Just feels good in the hands. If you want a ps5 controller then I would recommend aim controllers. They are using hall effect switches in there joysticks now. I have one of those as well and its a nice controller too.

Im sorry, I have not. I used to use and love their mice but a while back I felt the quality of those got bad. I was going through a new mouse every couple months so I switched to a corsair mouse and these last me like a year. That doesn’t mean their controller is bad. It might be great. Its just that I never used one because I don’t trust their quality anymore.
Unless you have one already the cost of the xbox elite makes it less desireable vs a ps5 controller. I have 2 xbox elite controllers from gen1, and I really wish I did not, the controllers are great (there is a little stick drift on the first one I got) but I really want to get the ps5 controller after having used it. But while these still work I use these on games I need a controller for, not d4.
True for the pricing i prefer a ps5 controller too. But thats not what he was asking.
Some prefer more bulkier stuff, big hands ppl for example.
I actually believe the ps5 controller is better (ignoring cost), again not saying the Elite is bad, I have been using them since they first came out back when they cost more than the $150 today.
i mean it is better in functionality, u have a a extra swipefield. or does the xbox one got that now too? im not up to date on their newst models, since im a ps5 gamer.
