Longterm endgame gameplay , what do you think

would you guys like it if in the future with endgame we have
pits
bosses and uber bosses
an endgame dungeon system in our hideouts , similar to the map system endgame poe has
Raids
Mercenaries and gear to gear them up

what do you guys think
i believe having pits, uber bosses, Dungeon system , and leaderboard type events like gauntlets would be a really fun endgame experience

This post is barely legible, but the end-game is an illusion.

  • Uber Bosses are lame. They are not difficult in the slightest and require you to farm trivial content just to summon them once.
  • The Gauntlet is a collosal waste and serves zero effective purpose besides people who want their name on a board by exploiting with a cheesy build. It isn’t end-game content even and the rewards do not justify ever setting foot in them.
  • The Pit is honestly the only thing that is going to matter and is pseudo Rogue-like akin to Grim Dawn’s Celestial Shard system. Bosses get replaced with Tormented Bosses and enemies scale up higher like AoZ. This is the only content that matters and gives you Masterworking Materials which you are going to need idefinitely because of the incredible amounts of RNG required to properly Masterwork items.
  • Raids do not exist in Diablo 4 and probably will not ever due to Raiding almost entirely revolving around complex Boss mechanics and a semblance of Job Roles for the Raid members. You would need a Group Finder and Matchmaking tool before this is even a thing.
  • Mercenaries can work with modifications. They should be able to supplement and compliment player builds. It is great that the Seneschal Pet in S3 can provide you with a decent source of Fortify Generation, Resource Generation, and Vulnerability application. This allows you to not have to make your character a jack-of-all-trades and frees up much needed Paragon, Skill Tree, and Aspect slots to specialize in other things. It is fun being able to actually gear up Companions/Mercenaries and adds an interesting additional element of progression. Content just has to be made more challenging for the added power.
  • The current NMD Dungeon system is pretty terrible. It was boring when it first released and incredibly repetitive and has managed to stay that way. It does not help that Blizzard introduces Seasonal content like Vaults that really make NMDs not worth it.

if they are not doable solo or if they require a minimum amount of players and you have to wait a queue to get the players amount (like Diablo on mobile)

Try to kill Varshan while you are level 60. And tell me if its easy or hard.

Of course if you are level 100 it will be easy. Varshan is level 75.

Try to kill duriel while you are level 80…

That’s why you enhance your char with power and high end items. To make things easier. Make no sense they keep hard all the time so why gear up so far ?

Have armor and res maxed and they are not very hard even if a little lower level. Might take a little longer to kill them but 100% doable. Now, you wont be doing this at 60 with a fresh char. But I was doing T4 varshan at 68-70 pretty easily. Pretty much one shot duriel at 89 with pretty mediocre gear. D4 ubers don’t really pose any challenge at all.
