Longer PTR needed

If you’ve pushed back s4 by a month… give us two weeks in the PTR.

What could it hurt to give us an extra 7 days testing these changes?

I think that might be the only “L” I heard today in the campfire chat. With the shear size of the updates, I don’t think a week is long enough to test it. All of the systems sound great and everything but they are just SO different.

That being said, at least we’re getting one. Maybe they’ll realize how beneficial this is and we’ll get more/longer ones in the future. So, PLEASE test it and report bugs and praise/criticise CONSTRUCTIVELY .

i agree i was a little suprised about the 7 days as well. however, maybe they do separated small ptrs?

ptr → gather feedback → make adjustments → next ptr.

Well, they postponed S4 a lot, so there is room for another PTR round in the meantime.

A longer PTR would be ideal. Will allow for more bugs to be discover. Like the above poster said, we might get a second PTR instead. They are dying for time before Season 4 starts. That being said, blizzard can fine tune the changes during Season 4. PTR is ideal to get rid of game breaking bugs before the go live.

If they decide to do a 2nd PTR before S4, maybe they’ll open it for users on Steam/Game Pass… not sure about consoles - don’t know why they should be excluded, unless it’s a Microsoft/Sony thing.

At least for the MS Store, any new build needs to go through an approval process which takes too long for testing purposes.

Maybe we’ll get a bonus Ron Fergusson PTR hype week!

Most people who jump on the PTR will not even give any constructive feedback, they just want to be the first in.

Just give us PTR until S4 drops, same day. With such changes like this how can anyone motivate themselves, outside of gauntlet, to play.

I’d like 2 weeks straight PTR, or 1 week PTR, some changes, then another PTR.

1 week doesn’t sound long enough.

MSBlizz make it so.

Agreed. The PTR should be like a month long with an update halfway through, followed by a final update before live. We’ve done this song and dance before and we already know that it takes time to get these things right, so not sure why they’re making the window so narrow. :eyes:

I was surprised at only one week. Better than what we’ve had tho.

I don’t see why they don’t just leave the PTR up until launch day. Why not let people find game breaking bugs? A week is kind of silly. Almost seems like pandering.

The PTR is just to shut people up. The longer they make it, the more bugs you will find and that’s the last thing they want to have to work on.

I was thinking a solid two weeks for more in depth testing of the many new systems…

But even two separate weeks would be better than one.
