Long-Term Goals: The Missing Piece in Diablo 4 [suggestion]

Hello Wanderers,

I think there’s a missing long-term goal in that game. If I compare it with most other games, they usually have long-term goals that unlock new features. For example, in city builders, you unlock new buildings as you reach certain levels, and in ARPGs, you unlock more powers. The issue with Diablo 4 is that we unlock everything by level 60, and until level 300, we only gain a slight increase in power through paragons.

To keep players engaged for a longer time, I think there need to be more features unlocked at higher levels, such as at levels 100, 200, and 300. I bet most players never reach level 300 simply because they don’t see the point. And they’re right—currently, there’s no compelling reason to aim for level 300. While the seasonal rewards are a step in the right direction, we usually finish them within two weeks.

Thanks for reading.

We need an auction house!

There is a huge difference in damage with the paragons, tempering, and runes. My rain of arrow rogue does a trillion damage against world bosses.

I don’t mind the 300 model. Maybe some nodes could be more interesting, especially for the mage where we have a lot of elemental resistance.

  • I would like one more layer of items. Maybe after tempering and MW, insert a special affix or corrupt the item. I like the feeling of having an exceptional item and only I have it… and not the same item for everyone. The weapons are almost always the same. Main attribute, life and the most applied damage, tempering doubles the damage and another affix of any damage.

well, id say a leveling journey is supposed to serve for “long term goals”. Difficulties reaching higher tiers as well.

while s8 is doing a nice step in this direction, id hope that blizzard made it even slower. I dont see why one should be lvl 60 in 5 hours.
