Long awaited Sorceress patch notes (fan made)

Sorc patch notes

  • Ice armor now getting cooldown reduced with each skill levels. 0.5 sec for each point in the skill.

  • Ice armor buff wont expire if the barrier amount drops to zero within its duration.

  • New paragon board “Galvanazing Ward” added with increase armor and damage mitigation while moving nodes. Legendary node giving some barrier amount per second while not damaged recently.

  • Contol aspect fixed to work as intended. It is not stacking multiplicatively stunned, immo and frozen multipliers with each other anymore.

  • CC effects are not imparing bosses or structures but added to the player damage output calculation as they are considered CCed.

  • Meteor skill got a new aspect which adds “pull” mechanic to it but have a cooldown of (3-6) seconds and makes them vulnerable for (1-3) seconds. Pull range is similar to teleport with raiments.

  • Aspects dealing flat damage now scale off of modifiers to the skill they are attached to similar to how aspects with percentage damage function. In instance, blizzard ice spike aspect will now have a lower base value but scale off of each ranks put into the blizzard.

  • Procs of aspects now have their own lucky hit proc rates respectable to the skills damage frequency.

  • Nova aspect fixed, working properly now with ice blades enchantment charges.

  • Crit chance, crit damage and attack speed now function to increase the damage of damage over time abilities.

  • Firewall enchantment now correctly works with each individual burn on an enemy, instead of considering it a single burn regardless of the number of burn instance.

  • New passive added to the skill tree, crowd controlling enemies also renders them vulnerable for 1/2/3 seconds.

  • Multiple sources of chill and increases to the percentage of chill now correctly increase the rate at which bosses get staggered.

  • We’ve looked into multiple sorcerer uniques and decided that some of the drawbacks made no sense as equipping one already comes with the opportunity cost of losing an offensive aspect, as such we’re removing the fireball damage reduction from the fireball bounce unique and the charged bolts unique.

  • New damage reduction stat added to items that can roll defensive stats, take x% reduced damage while you have a barrier active

General combat changes:

  • Weapon or gear swap is disabled in combat and few seconds after.

  • Fixed a bug which makes some mobs dealing damage before they get stunned from Raiment of the infinite when teleported on them

Make meteors aoe radius bigger. That bs is like throwing a lil bottle rocket on a pack of elites lmfao. Give it the size of blizzard.

Or just rename meteor to “pop rocks”.

Not sure if this bug is fixed. At times i port into a mob and it pulls and stuns as intended but I can’t arc lash almost like my character is also getting stunned.

Anyone else experience the same? Or is this a different problem? Maybe some kind of lag?

the radius isn’t even the worst part , the damage tho , sooooo bad

Wow what a great idea now we just need to wait 1/2/3 years for blizzard.

LOL and blizzard fires the idiot that came up with the downside then all will be right.

Well i tried to point the current sorc problems and tried to bandaid them with that post. It is clear that sorc needs an overhaul as soon as possible. These suggestions are just temp fixes but even they got any of it, even one, it is a gain for us. Sadly, sorc doesnt feel good to play in that current aspect of the game.

The actual Patch Notes will probably look something like this:

Developer Notes: It has come to our attention that sorcerers are underperforming in endgame content. To address these concerns we are making the following changes:

  • Ice Block has a new unique icon.
  • Hammer of the Ancients damage increased by 80%
  • Whirlwind damage increased by 100%

The mage’s defense is too fragile, you must bring 4 defensive skills, there is no playability
