Returning to the game after a year+… I assume, currently, Helltides are the best way to level.
Is anything going to change with that when LoH drops tomorrow? Also, what difficulty do people normally play on to start out these days? ← This is why I dislike games, especially ARPGs, that offer different difficulties… you never know which ones are the fastest until youve waisted some time trying a few. Would love a return to a single universal difficulty, but thats a different topic!
LoH best leveling methods (aside from LoH story) ?
My normal routine is helltide whispers / seasonal stuff / whispers on normal to max level. I don’t bother with tempering, affixes, etc. Just slap on the highest item level as a I go.
Yea I don’t need a guide to level up with a new expansion, but more power to people that will use it. I’ll go through the campaign at my leisure, then get to 70 (assuming the campaign won’t get me there), and have fun from there.
Basically he says to create a seasonal character when it’s available 30” after launch and run the campaign on normal. You should be around level 46 or so and then you do the first capstone for extra skill points and switch to hard and do helltides and level like you normally do. When you hit 60 run pits and you’ll be 70 before you know it.
I’m conflicted here, because I usually like to build up a bit of a base before diving into the new stuff. Level up a bit, gather resources, get at least a vaguely functional build going… and more importantly, enough life and defenses to survive unpredictable new content, because HC.
But of course, I assume a lot of the new features and stuff will be gated behind the campaign.
Even though it’ll obviously be less efficient, I’m tempted to play the campaign on Eternal and then create the seasonal character + skip campaign. That way at least I can enjoy the story without being on the struggle bus the whole time…
I don’t know the meta, but during the season, what works best for me (on 1-60 leveling) is entering capstone dungeons. They usually have a fixed monster level, so if you enter with a lower level than the dungeon, you get a lot of experience.
(And you can repeat them.)
The only downside is that these dungeons give you items of a higher level than yours under these conditions. But this also gives you a great power boost when you reach that level.
You do the campaign, beause you have to, and then you do whatever you did before because we don’t know what’s changed or what the best method/item/skill/class/tier list/etc is because we didn’t get access this time.
That sums up every video this weekend. From everyone.
You silly silly man!. Yes, I agree, but, many MANY don’t feel they are playing until max level. It’s all about the journey, yada yada. Well, this time, it is!!, CAMPAIGN people!!!. Enjoy the story, it’s going to be EPIC!. Hopefully???.
