Lock on targeting

The way lock on target swapping works is that it cycles through the closest mobs from current target.

The problem with this is when you are all of a sudden surrounded you are unable to, most of the time; for example, when you are targeting mobs from the north, then a boss summons miniond around you, it cycles through everything around current target before you reach the ones south which are awfully closer. This results in your character dying, say in hardcore. The current solution to this is not very convenient. Its to remove lock on targeting and manually aim. On controller this comes with the inability to stutter step which is pivotal to this game as previous diablo games.

My suggested solution is that you allow us to shift “locked target” to the closest enemy in the direction we move our ‘right’ stick towards! This would make the console/controller experience dramatically more pleasant!

In another note, please allow us to drag and drop items in inventory. Can you implenent the command to double click to equip vs single click to pick up item on inventory?

Thanks for reading

Edit:
In addition, please allow us to select through locked targets much more quicker without pause! The way it feels is like going through your menu options. It is wayyyy too slow for an ARPG. Let us hold the right stick and have the lock go through everythinf fast!

I feel like the mobs are not geared toward solo play at all, and you lose the ability to track what target you are shooting because you are being swarmed by ten or more creatures and there are more coming at you from offscreen. This issue could be resolved with simple balancing toward solo players while still encouraging co-op play

100% agreed. What about i want to cast a skill in a specific opponent but there are many arount me that doesn’t let me aim for the one i desire

Honestly, the simple solution is to allow us to use mouse and keyboard. But we probably wont see this happen so I hope they at least improve the targeting system and inventory management.
