Hello,
I would like to ask you guys, what is allowed and what is not allowed while playing local coop? Me and my wife were playing diablo IV for like 2 weeks+, and suddenly her account got banned. Ofc. we can’t get any response from blizzard why this account was banned, they only refer to this Blizzard Support - Blizzard's In-Game Code of Conduct and dont give us specific reason why account was banned. So we have no idea why it happened.
Tbh we only use her account to log in, and play locally with me. There was no interactions with other players, no wrong nicknames etc.
Maybe second copy of the game is needed to play together? But I doubt, in such a case it would probably not be possible to even log in and play together.
The only thing that come to my mind is that while traveling she was afk while I was running and she followed me automatically and Blizzard consider this as using the games glitches? Or maybe when I left the game (lets say license owner) and she left in a game for like 2-3 mins to test something out, and its also not allowed? What do you think guys?
Maybe I will got response from blizzard support soon, but for now we havent play for a few days and we really dont want to start over again, especially that we dont know the ban reason and it may happen again
Within this quote is the reason her account got ban and you just explained what you were doing on that account. It’s always wise to read the rules before creating the account or playing. You can create an account while reading the rules which you can find on the forums, client, or eslsewhere.
You can’t share accounts when playing any games. You must have your own in order to play with your wife this rule isn’t just with Blizzard its been a rule with many compaines decades ago. Microsoft works differently with thiers on Xbox so I can see many having confusion when switching over then get hit with a ban. I don’t have Playstation so I can’t say anything.
In Code of conduct account sharing is define as cheating.
You’re so full of sht it’s not even funny.
Literally have never purchased gold/gamepass for my wife, and she’s got a few hundred hours in D3, probably 75/25% split of playing together vs solo.
She also has a few days in D4, all under my account. Never once had an issue, I just sign in first, then have her join.
Yeah it seems they left me without explanation, no answers to my ticket etc. Not fair move… I guess we will create new account for local coop to Play new season, but i will worry all the time for ban for no reason. Od maybe we will give up playing this anymore
eah, I can’t speak for PlayStation, but on Xbox, so long as you’re on your “Home Console,” any other user logging in on that console has open access to all games, and even Multiplayer privileges.
If you are not on your Home Console, you need to be signed in, and then other accounts can access your games.
yeah but who says there has been account sharing? I was playing on my account, and she was playing on her account. Her account is banned for no reason in our opinion, some kind of automatic wave bans or sth, i have no idea. Can’t get answer from blizzard
So weird then that none of my friends have been banned for account sharing with their wife, partner, kids etc. Maybe they just selectively ban people they don’t like.
As has been said, since it’s your wife’s full Xbox account that’s been banned, you need to go through Xbox Support, not Blizzard Entertainment Support.
It’s entirely possible that the account has been banned for nothing to do with Diablo IV.
If he and his wife are using their own Xbox accounts, then they’re not account sharing.
If they’re playing couch co-op on their Xbox that is designated as the “Home” console, then they are properly abiding by the terms of use. If they’re on another Xbox console and the game’s owner is logged in on said console, they’re abiding by the terms of use.
I suspect the banning of his wife’s account has something to do outside of Diablo IV.
You didn’t specify when you made the thread as such I took what you said and support ban into consideration. Only one outcome for this was accout sharing. If you have specify that you both played on seprate accounts it will be much easier.
